It's a weird thing for you to be simultaneously offended that I said "Islamophobic" and then follow it up by saying something completely Islamophobic. I've seen what Christians have done to the world. It doesn't make me oppose/hate Christians. I know some are good, some are bad, and some are complicated....just like Muslims. So strange, right? It's almost as if we're all just people within these groups.

The extremes in our country are all guilty of pushing their values in civic space whether it be Atheists, Christians, Muslims, etc. Part of the reasoning is that many ideas out there have value-based systems that may or may not conflict with each other.

The founders came from a world that didn't really have voting rights, and then they expanded them beyond what their world afforded. You are taking the wrong lessons from history, and it comes as no surprise.

It's interpreted in many different ways. Don't you brag about the 'happily integrated' two million Palestinian citizens of Israel, the big majority of whom are Muslim How do you jibe that with a video like this one by 'travelingisrael'?
Every religion has its zealots, including yours. It's pretty simple; missionaries are free to preach and do outreach and people are free to accept or reject their overtures. Add to that the fact that we live in a country with a Constitution and laws that strongly limit the influence of religion on day to day life. Those preachers are addressing their choir if you'll excuse the mangled metaphor. There's no credible possibility of a Muslim or any other religious takeover of the country in the foreseeable future. Let's hope Donnie doesn't completely wreck the Constitution before he leaves. I wouldn't want to see any kink of theocracy, including Christian.
