Yes. Storm the field if we defeat UGA (Go Vols)

I know this an inherent insult to say, but I live in the here and now.
Heupel is 0-4 against UGA as UTs coach.
Georgia has won 9 straight?? They’ve been the dominant program in all of college football imo the last 10 years.

They have a QB that can run and throw.
They have 2 of the most explosive players that ever suited up for Bishop Gorman and Mater Dei starting. Zach Branch and the RB.
Their line averages 6’6 330 and 3rd year.

Defense…
NB (5 star)
FS (5 star)
NT (5 Star)
ILB (5 star)
and bunch of other talented guys in their two deep. CJ Allen. Chris Cole. A bunch of dudes.

If we beat them then we should absolutely storm the field
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

This might have already been asked, but doesn't storming the field say that we didn't expect to win?

Win the game first, then follow the lead of the student section. The first part is more important than the second, in any case.

I honestly don’t give 2 💩s about the $500k. Ticket prices have gotten out of control, the players are mercenaries with no loyalty whatsoever and everything is about money…. So F the $500k….they have the dollars
There is nothing cool about planning a field storming before a game. There’s nothing organic about it and those people are devaluing the memories of 1998, 2022, and earlier. They’re turning someone magical into something staged.

Anyone who campaigns for a staged field rush should be treated as a traitor to Vol Nation. Not unlike those who have chosen to print money and devalue our wages.

Do you people have no self respect?

I'll allow Alabama in 2022 cause it was a rivalry game we lost for 15 consecutive years. But Georgia? Get the hell outta here. They're not even that good this year nor are they on a legendary Saban type run. Please have some self dignity and realize this is supposed to be a proud program.

We're not supposed to rush the field when we beat an opponent. That should be the expectation.
Rushing the field shouldn’t be the who, but the why? If rushing for bama was warranted, then rushing for UGA is definitely warranted. They are a great team right now and haven’t showed signs of slowing down. How long has it been since we beat them? I don’t think we can beat GA, but if we did that would mean we can beat anyone on our schedule. I’m not sure what’s more exciting than that.

“Proud Program”. I think we are. But we weren’t for 15-20 years. Beating Ga would be our biggest win in some time. I love beating bama any day, but they haven’t been the power bans they used to be in our past few wins. Feelings and rivalry aside, beating GA this year is no doubt a bigger win than that bama win.

Nah. We're not some up and coming program. We shouldn't storm the field no matter who the opponent is. We're bigger and better than that.

Having said that...we ain't beating UGA regardless of venue.
We kind of are. We were irrelevant for a good bit. But I agree with your last sentence.

So you want to cost the university a bunch more money?!?...This would be the third time and it would cost a ton of money and every penny of it goes to UGA...Yeah lets help them get more great players instead of keeping that money and acting like we have been there before and get our own blue chippers...Make sense?
As expensive as tickets have become, I hope they storm the field when they beat ETSU and cost the university money……. DW will recoup it somewhere, don’t worry.

Lol.

If you're against storming the field because of the way it makes us look to others, especially Georgia, imagine the fun they're having reading this thread.

That’s a good reminder. Everyone mind yourselves. There may be Georgia fans looking around here!

You don't storm the field to announce to the world that you're "back." It only reminds the world how far you had fallen, at least for a few years. If I recall correctly, we beat UGA for 9 yrs straight in the '90s. The BEST celebration would be to act like it's not a big deal, and just get ready for the next one.
This ain’t the 90s. People fail to realize the youth in that stadium only know GA as a powerhouse and only know we always lose to them. Some of you are showing your age.

If you were 20, were a UT fan living what they know for the last 15 years, you’d absolutely storm the field if we won.

Storming the field against UGA would be stupid. They are not a historic rival like Bama nor are they a team that people hate as much as we hate Florida. Also that would be 3 field stormings in 4 years, which kind of takes away from the special nature of storming.

Last 10 years...

National Championships
UGA: 2
Bama: 3

SEC Championships
UGA: 3
Bama: 6

Total Wins and Losses
UGA: 115 - 22
Bama: 124 - 16

Head to Head
UGA: 1 Win
Bama: 7 Wins
*Including, Bama being a combined 4-1 against UGA in the National Championship Game, Playoff, and SEC Championship Game...the brightest lights, the biggest games.

Remind me again how UGA has been the "dominant program in all of college football in the last 10 years"?

I could slap you for making me have to take Alabama's side. But...bullsh!t is bullsh!t, and facts are facts.
Yeah but we’ve beaten Bama twice.

UGA has 3 National Championships

Okay this is the most sensible argument I’ve heard.

And I don’t know why we stormed the field for Bama a 2nd time. That was out of place.

This, a 1000%. I'm sure great pleasure would be derived from the seemingly moral objection people are having to storming the field against Georgia due to Clinton administration dominance.

Why not 26? Why not 27? It's very much cherry picking. Claiming that Tennessee was the same program under Dooley, Butch, and Pruitt is the same as it was under Fulmer is being intellectually dishonest.
For starters, the only people it directly impacts is the players currently playing and will play. As I've posted before, 17 of the 23 Tennessee wins happened before Y2K. Think any current recruits really care about that far back? Want to go back to when the series was played every year (1992)? Tennessee is 14-19 since then. But want to argue about being the same program? Georgia is not anywhere close to the same program it was in that 9 game Tennessee streak.
