Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Now that the first game is out of the way and there's some chatter about how impressive Redmond and Harmon looked on defense...I'm going to point to my post history and pat myself on the back for pointing out how good those two would be. I wouldn't be surprised if Travis Smith is the next freshman making some noise. I saw all three of those guys dominate against great competition in high school.

Feels like we have a good shot. Especially if Moi and Hobbs are back.

I think if we can force Gunner to beat us with his arm we are in good shape. Especially when he hasn't been in anything close to Neyland before. Run defense worries me.

Our o-line may be able to hold up better than any since 2016.
Moi will be very questionable and Hobbs is out. Plus our starting CBS are out. Luckily hood is a stud and Redmond looks to be Sutton 2.0. My guess is Bailey and West take 20 snaps each inside to help out.

Thought there was a chance Hobbs plays? If Moi is very questionable then I feel like he'd just reinjure himself.

He didn’t understand that cheating with impunity was only really possible at bama because they had the sec and ncaa in their pocket.

Long term view is that he was the perfect coach to make the Tennessee leaders realize that they needed to hire an excellent AD and let him run the show.

It was a painful lesson for the Volunteer faithful. But at least it ended the horror show of kiffin/dooley/butch/pruitt. It could have continued in perpetuity if not for pruitt’s idiocy.
He was actually a casualty of the feud between Fulmer and Haslam and other donors. Tennessee was in a bind with whole coaching search fiasco and was a stop gap. Fulmer extended his contract after he assured certain people he wouldn't.
Tennessee wasn't doing anything that Alabubba and the rest of them were doing but Tennessee told on and turned in Tennessee.

Have you met many? My moms family is from PA. Every one of them are diehards and rednecks. Most people I know from PA are PSU fans.
Several growing up in VA and living in Nashville working with the public. Feels like I've met thousands at this point. Even if they are fans they like pro sports waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more.

Sorry, couldn't resist. . .

Also, since it seems like no one else is gonna bring it up. . . Farooq looked good, just like I said a man said. . . and, had we moved 1 wr in to the edge of the line, we would've seen the real Power Bone offense. I think we see it vs UGA.

What are your picks? I'm having a tough time making confident picks on those games.
That Oregon line against OSU looks too high. I'm sure they win easily, but 30 points?

Florida seems like they'll struggle to win by more than 2 scores, but maybe I just hate UF.

Miss St looked bad, ASU isn't great but I feel like they can win by a TD even at MSU.

ISU if you can get it for -3 or less.

Texas probably tries to begin their redemption campaign, so they'll keep starters in the whole game to win by 50 if they can.

Baylor and SMU probably goes Over 65 points.

Maybe over in the Kansas Mizzou game, but I don't trust mizzou to cover a TD. I'd pick Kansas if I had to pick someone, but I'll probably just go over.

Arkansas to cover because SCREW YOU BUTCH

Not touching Vandy VT, 2 bad teams

BYU probably covers Stanford.

That will be my long shot parlay for the week, then I'll dig in and find which ones I'm most confident on to bet individually.

i’m 11 years older than my wife. My kids think it’s gross that she was 7 when I was 18. We started dating when I was 37.
I'm 14 years younger than my old lady. We met on a movie set where she was playing a vampire stripper who danced with a huge snake. . . technically I'm the mistress in this deal. . .

Hahahaha
kiffin would screw bama up as badly as he did usc.
He’s a mediocre coach who is perfect for a mediocre program like ole miss. They have embraced all of his stupid antics. Eventually he will wear out his welcome there too.
Don't discourage them brother. Jumped up Judas Priest, if the bubbas hired Kiffin, my life work would be complete. I would definitely be seeking medical attention for excessive arousal.

I didn't think about the BYU game. That could be a good bet. Stanford has been terrible for a while.
