I still think this is a 9-3 team if we can stay pretty healthy. CJH/Banks took their foot off the gas pedal and started playing too many backups. Daune Morris and backup Oline should have never wasted a drive for us. Same with going deep in the bench on defense in 3rd quarter. Glad we could put our foot back on the gas...thats really hard to do and lots of teams get beat that way.

Boo played terrible today. Got beat on 4th down TWICE and couldnt tackle the QB on that Nickel blitz when he was running free untouched. His replacement McMurray played MUCH better and deserves to start again.

Mike Matthews is starting to worry me. Doesn't get consistent separation. Hands aren't good right now.

I will link a video. He does really extensive UT coverage...hes a superfan. Not as good at breaking down tape as Brooks is though. Nobody better than Brooks on college tape that ive seen. Hope he does a video on us this week but i doubt it.

LSU just went for 4th and 2 and threw up on their shoes again. 2nd fumble by a WR for LSU. Good grief.

Yeah he had a couple drops. When he was open deep for that long TD, he had separation....Joey underthrew it by a yard and the DB hooked his left arm on Matthews waist and grabbed Matthews right arm with his right arm before the ball got there. Matthews still could and probably should have made the catch for the long TD though. He had 2 drops also that I saw. This was his 1st start so I think he will get better. He only had 8 catches last season IIRC.

Staley on the other hand had 4 catches for 95yds and a TD in his 1st start. Good game by him. I havent looked at the whole box score...but i dont think Smith, Jackson, Dodson, Jefferson had any catches?? Kitselman had 2 HUGE catches. Both inside the 10yd line. That 1st one was a bullet too...he has great hands man. Best on the team again. Ethan Davis dropped the ball on a TE screen which was designed/called just to get the ball in his hands. The pass was a little high...but hes like 6ft5in tall. Nothing should go over his head except clouds IMO.

Glad LSU pulled it out despite refs. They held Clemson to 10 points and stopped them on a goal line stand, then another 4th down stop around the 15yd line to win it. This was supposed to be the year clemson was "back" ranked 4th. They got beat at home in their 1st game despite Kelly coaching some terrible calls on offense. Now clemson...like Notre dame...will play nobody 10 times in a row and probably run the table so they can get blown out in the playoffs again.

UCLA is on Fox right now. Nico has zero points .. 30 yards passing...and just took a 15yd sack holding the ball too long to end the 1st quarter. Theyre down 13-0 to unranked Utah...nico sucks compared to JA. His dad screwed him so bad. Good for us though. We upgraded and saved money

I learned some stuff from the VQ post-game that I didnt notice. Staring CB Gibson left halfway thru 2nd quarter and never returned. On that drive in the 2nd half when SYR rolled down the field, we had 2 walkons at LB and freshmen DBs. Lots of freshmen played today.

Mike Matthews dropped 5 balls today.

Boo carter played like azz and gave up two 4th down conversions. His replacement at Starting Nickel McMurray had a really good game. Boo didnt return punts either. That was Staley.
