Did I miss something on R Gibson?

Left game in 1st qtr. never came back in

Our defensive staff treated the 2nd half like a scrimmage- we were playing walkons at times. In middle of 4th when it was a 12 point game, we put starters back in and shut them down.

Defense was very close to an elite game…

Few iffy calls, gave up some 4th downs or 3rd & longs where players just didn’t make plays. Didn’t see Syracuse dial up anything we weren’t ready for and their big RB was just that.

Banks went Zone early & they got some big chunk plays from it.

I don't think Bama will be very stout against the run no matter who they play this season. Their DL does not look as good as it historically has been.

Really hope Moi is ok. Shoulder injury with helmet off makes me nervous. I didn’t even see where Gibson went down but man Hood is really good.

Perry was also a monster. A couple of those right sided runs—him and Moe were just pushing the line back 4-5 yards

Solid win. Just wish we had shut the door a bit earlier and kept them from long drives and taking up so much clock. Wanted to see more of our O. It was fun to watch.

In short, maybe not quite as encouraging as the Virginia or NC St openers, but Cuse's offense is pretty sharp, even with a new qb. Hats off to them.

9-3 is looking a lot more solid. 10-2 looking more probable. It was never really in question, which is always nice.
