No. He was first a citizen of South Africa. He attained citizen status here at least 25 years ago. He took up residence at an exclusive residential area in Orlando called Isleworth, where a number of Western European PGA tour players had also taken up residence. Many others landed in Lake Nona, a few miles away. Plenty of Americans joined them too. The reason he isn't considered African American is because he isn't black. African American is exclusive to black skinned citizens

I didn't say he isn't a minority. I said he really isn't the one he claims to be although... as I said... the term "African American" is racist in and of itself and divisive.

Then why are non black people simply called 'white'? The only race defined solely by color. How awesome that is.

The NY socialist is going to mandate those kinds of things via government mandate. Grocery stores in poor parts of town are a problem, no doubt. It always shocks me the grocery store in areas where a majority of the residents qualify for SNAP benefits fail. As stated above, theft is the only reason they could fail.

Most blacks didn't have citizenship in Africa when they came here. Els did have it.

Haven't paid enough attention to that guy to have an opinion. His physical appearance anyway. Why would YOU give a damn about his looks? Damn, Man, enjoy your retirement in ET

You are bolstering my argument. I used Ernie ELs as an example of how he is a real African yet is not considered as being so because of his skin color. (I actually have a 'white' friend that was from South Africa and when he was applying for an airline job years ago he checked the African American box. It got him an interview and numerous mailings from the Black Pilots' Association) Most blacks have never even been to Africa nevermind having any real claim to it other than being called such because of and ONLY because of the color of their skin. Yet I am 'white'. I have no ancestry apparently. But how can that be since my ancestors (apparently) stole lands from 'native Americans'?

A 69-year-old woman using a walker was hit by a stray bullet in the face and killed in a broad-daylight shooting on an East Harlem sidewalk Wednesday, cops and sources said.
