President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

My biggest issue with cashless bail is the repeat offenders. I could careless if you can’t afford to get out of jail because you decided to commit a crime

Crap, I don't have an opinion either way but Trump has a gift to bringing out the loons. He announces free lap dance night and all of sudden everyone is upset. Nobody, and I mean nobody would be talking about this on this forum if Biden was in office. 😂

Trump just starts singing two shaves and haircut, and the loons just go crazy. That boy definitely has a gift.

Our criminal justice system has a mountain of problems. This isn't a solution to any of them.

Did you mean you *couldn't* care less?
No I could care less. I don’t give a $hit about proper grammar on a message board. So the solution is if you are poor you get a free pass

But you say cashless bail works. Maybe the criminal needs sit in jail for awhile if they can’t make bail then maybe there want be a 3rd time

To be fair he gave great examples.

I don’t believe it’s so much the system failing as it’s the judges that are failing.

Victimless crime like simple possession or public intoxication should be cashless bail.

Armed robbery or domestic assault should not have a cashless bail.

This EO is dumb.

Mr. Wonderful was on CNBC this morning and was asked about it. Said it was the worst idea ever, that Intel has been so badly managed for years that it should long ago have been taken out behind a barn and shot in the head.

I'm just hoping that Trump and his minions don't get any stupid ideas about risking SS money in investments on the theory it will generate returns.

I thought Mr. Wonderful was dead.

Most of them have been either politically motivated or dumb

The fact it's being painted shouldn't be of any concern. Neither should the color of it. It is laughable that the color has been touted as a deterrent. That's it though. It's not really worth a debate
Should be electrified. Wait until they get near the top and then ZAP! Knock them off. lmao

The loons are his die hard supporters

Cashless bail has been a colossal failure here in Memphis.

3 year anniversary of Liza Fletcher's rape and murder this week and Ezekiel Kelly's shooting spree. Suspects had been released on cashless bail beforehand in both cases.

Of course, it might not be as much cashless bail as the limpdicked AG who doesnt do his job here.
It sounds great in theory. It’s less appealing when you see the real-world deployment and implications, often in crime-ridden, mis-managed municipalities focused on things like “restorative justice”.

Richie & Liza lived around the corner from us in Central Gardens, our girls would play with their boys, Liza taught Kindergarten at St Mary’s where our girls were.

Trump executive order on flag burning. Sigh.
More theater.

Its hilarious "yea its gonna be 1 year jail guaranteed with no early release possible" like he has the power to enact a mandatory sentence. This is, of course, before considering the fact that flag burning is a constitutionally protected right. He's also probably not aware that burning the flag is considered the respectful way to dispose of an unserviceable flag and that, in theory, he's also ordering that anyone actually following the flag code should be imprisoned.

I get what you've saying, but again take the single parent living on min wage makes a mistake and writes a bad check. I don't know about every state but in Tennessee that means a trip to the pokie. Already with a bad check, how does this non violent offender make bail? And here's a news flash, almost every jail in this state is at capacity or way over crowded.

I think most people would agree cashless bail is appropriate in the situation you described. There are numerous other scenarios as well where cashless bond is approproate.

The issue is certain DAs are using cashless bail and "bail reform" for far more severe and violent cases....

And while I’ve defended the ideology of cashless bail today I’ve also made it clear I’m against this. As I said cashless bail’s biggest detractors are the idiot cities with idiot DAs like NYC that totally screw up the implementation of cashless bail. Thus my throwing the baby out with the bath water comments.

Will be litigated quickly and SCOTUS will strike it down.

I would hope so, but am worried about it. Bondi says its constitutional because it will be linked to inciting a riot. Problem is, its already a crime to incite a riot. So it will be a question of whether in a given case it can be shown that it was that act, alone, that incited a riot.

I'm bothered by Trump saying it causes riots because of the reaction. That seems to be his way of encouraging over reaction by Rittenhouse types that show up to "keep the peace."

I believe they will uphold the SCOTUS decision from 1989.
