Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Good on you for the effort.

Years ago I started making myself wait 30 seconds after typing out a post before hitting submit. Every post, even when I'm in a good mood, not arguing, every single one. Now I delete over half of my typed out posts and (I hope) am a much more pleasant online person.

I was truly ruining my witness with how I talked to people, so I had to take extreme measures to curb my vitriolic reflexes.
Same reason.

Wouldn't go that far. We very likely take a step back in QB. Maybe even defense (going to be tough to be as elite as last year tbh, best defense in over 20 years).

With the pipeline we have coming in, think you hold steady.

Let's be honest, if QB position is below average, then we will be ok winning 4 out of OU, Arky, Cuse, Miss St, UK, Vandy.

Without solid QB play, we won't get one of the 3 big upsets I'm hoping/expecting to bink.
Significant injuries at certain positions coukd knock us down to 7-5 easy...we are thin as always at too many positions.

People almost NEVER think about injuries when they throw these predictions out there, even though they are inevitable.

I have no idea what is going to happen this year, I am hoping for the best, but I know that sometimes the worst happens.

If we are relatively injury free to critical positions, and get good QB and WR play...then we could win 9-10 games...but I can imagine a path to 7-5...and it ain't that hard.

It is not likely that we take a step back at QB. That would mean some truly horrendous QB play lol.

I ll take the qb bet. I think Aguilar will outperform what Nico gave us last season. He was a below average qb. We need a little luck and the defense to be above average for us to equal/eclipse last season.

If our QB gets hurt, we're screwed.

Does anyone here have the football schedule that lists the time of day for every game, even those that don't have official times announced? I can't find it but I'm sure I've seen it posted here.

You can go to UT sports website and they have a calendar that’ll download directly to your phone calendar.

"Moved to Jacksonville so will be supporting Orange from here. My feeling is this TN game is really going to show what kind of team Fran has put together. Really a toss up IMO as both team are completely different from last year. I think this is an advantage for us, big freshmen come to play and we win this one with a revitalized special teams, great secondary work, and clean offensive football. I have it 41-28 Cuse. We build if that win our home games and another upset for an 8 win season. With some luck who knows. I'll be in Atlanta next week!"

I enjoyed this one from the Cuse board.

bless their hearts...
Man only the national champs were able to score more than 40 on us all year, but Cuse will get 41. That level of optimism is pretty impressive.
