Is it a “lie” or are people just gullible enough to buy his bluster that should know, if they’re a grown adult, it was hyberbole/exaggerated/just for show… and nobody was going to stop Putin’s three week special military operation in a day?? It’s dumb, he shouldn’t have said it, like a lot of other things, but it doesn’t qualify as a “lie”. Please tell me you know the difference and that you weren’t hanging your hat on that comment.

I don't think its as simple as that. He says such things because, given his ego, in the moment he believes it. He often realizes he has overstepped and hedges. But not always.

A lie is a lie. Trump tells the lies his base wants to hear,and yes they,like you,do believe those lies.

He also has the greatest economy the US has ever seen.

They don't believe these lies. They think he gives license to their resentment against immigrants and people of color. He sends troops into heavily black and brown areas like DC and I guess now Chicago, and the Trump cult forgive everything else.

That's probably true,I hadn't connected the dots but it certainly makes sense. It is a cult.

Wouldn't it be a better service to send NG troops to disaster areas? Navy seabees could help reconstruct western NC.

A huge portion of the MAGA base cares about their resentment. You may not. But that motivates them heavily.

The Israel war has been going on for a long time. Guess you were ok with October 7th which made Israel have enough.

You need to look up what Clinton did to Ukraine. What happened under Obama to Ukraine. Then the great president Biden. What did he say to Russia oh it was Don’t.

I'm not a Trump supporter

But I'm not blind. Its easy to see why he won. Its easy to see why Dems are losing/lost the last election. You all are incapable of being honest with yourselves. Middle 10% decides all of these things.

I agree the Dems are lost and too beholden to narrow interests. That and the fact that Harris was picked with no discussion are the two main reasons I left the Dem party a year ago.

But I have eyes and ears and I see what the MAGA base responds to, and like it or not race-biased politics absolutely is high on the list for them.

You need to look up what t rump did to Ukraine, denied military aid that would have prevented invasion, because Zelenski wouldn't lie about Biden.

Prevented invasion? They got the money 3 months late. Trump was definitely trying to do some shady crap. But its utter nonsense to claim that if that aid had come three months earlier Russia wouldnt have invaded. Also Biden was in office two freaking years before Russia invaded.
