Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

^^That is so true. And ty for sharing it with me.

He told me once a few years back that the first thing I'd feel when he died was 'relief' because of all the work it was physically, emotionally, and mentally. It wasn't the first thing but at the same time it's there. It's just that I've carried this burden for so long and fought so hard that now I don't even know how not to have it. I just feel empty - meaningless. Keeping him alive and taking care of him has been my entire existence for 6+ years. I'm too young to not find something to do next with my life (still in my 40s) but too old for it to be easy.
Speaking from my experience of taking care of dad for long, relief followed by guilt for feeling relief is an eye opening experience. Taking time to heal/rest for yourself is not selfish but needed. Don’t be surprised if something silly triggers a flood of tears or a smile, grief is deeply personal and affects each of differently. 🙏🏻🧡

Heupel has had very successful qbs that didn’t run. Drew Lock and Dillon Gabriel were awesome

Seeing someone say drew lock wasn’t mobile or didn’t run is kinda throwing me for a loop right now🤣🤣 didn’t he torch us in both aspects?..passing and extending plays or am i thinking of another guy😅

No clue who it could’ve been but here’s Lock’s college rushing stats

It’s an absolute shame watching a once proud organization lose its way and cater to the minority mob. Going from grand old values to now catering the rich oligarchs. I mean the absolute hysteria befalling our very eyes is warranted. CB once had values of limited menus, southern hospitality, and accepting all who hold true the principles of our republic, regardless of state or nationality. But now, by dropping the old timer and following the main leader that is money and power, they have truly given up their soul. It’s a sad state of affairs. I mean it’s like we’ve never seen this before in our country. I mean I just cannot, for the life of me, think of an other grand ole organization that has ever done such a thing in my life…

How many rushing yards at UCF did Gabriel have then, since I’m unable to read 372 off your screenshot.
Oh you think 372 yards across THREE years means he was a mobile qb? Lock had 286 in his 2 years under Heupel. You called Lock a statue…

Gabriel 2.86 yd/attempt under Heupel
Lock 2.85 yd/attempt under Heupel

Lol

It helps when you play the same 2 courses all the time. 😂 kind of figure out what club/shot plays best where.
Yeah the margin between good and disaster was very small for me. I had a tendency to push right a little bit the longer I played, had a lazy swing according to my buddy back in the day that was addicted to playing. So yeah I could shoot 100+ any given time out.
90-100 range really isnt terrible for a casual player if you're keeping score correctly.

I played with a guy that would tell people he shot 68-70 on a 72. When we actually played, he was closer to 120, 😂. 70, with about 35 mulligans and 15 lost balls.

*my best scores were at Bays Mountain Goat Club. Great course to play while funneling beers with your shirt off. Miss that course. It was terrible (i've seen worse) but you could play all day and night with a cart for $25.
