So..... who's still out there?

Since we went all in on Hitler and whiffed, Id imagine the staff tries to find a RB target who has an impressive senior season.

I think the plan was no RB in this class if they didn't get Hiter. Not saying they wouldn't take a flier on somebody that is under recruited.

With the portal, I just don’t understand the desire to sign big classes. I’d have scouts looking at DII for late bloomers with plenty of eligibility. Also, not a bad idea to hold a couple for that kid who pops his senior season. Recruiting is essentially wrapped up before these kids even take a snap during their senior season. That just makes zero sense too me.

Has AP said anything recently about Iverson Garcia?

I know he’s not a blue chipper but was an instate kid that Garner personally evaluated and really liked.

Part of me wondered if our staff backed off out of respect to Golesh since he’s committed to USF.

With 105 scholarships coming, there’s no need to “hold” any. We won’t use all of them.

I don’t think I’ve listened to every pod but the ones that I have, I have not heard this name

*Chop

RG is the man but all cruits talk about Chop
Garner has a history of pulling a recruit late. Nothing against Chop he is great, but Garners credentials speak for themselves. Of course I am glad we got both, but Garner is known for scoring a recruit late in just about every cycle. But both are very capable. GBO

Probably because that is the time they have to focus on game planning, and just don't have the time to go on the road to recruit.

The portal's mere existence doesn't guarantee a great portal class (or even a great recruiting class overall).
Texas actually went out and scouted great players at lower levels and poached them.
Yes, keep a couple spots for emerging talent.
I'd say thay you still always need to sign a great class (top-5) to win this league, but not necessarily "big" class...🍊

With the expanded roster this likely becomes a moot point. I disagree with it. It’s going to ramp up transfers even more if teams are carrying 105 collies. You think recruiting is tough now?

Going to ultimately hurt the smaller schools and lower level as the big guys will be stacking rosters.
