President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

Being a moderate is mindfacking for most of the extreme left wing posters and the extreme right wing posters of the board. The staunch Democrats have no leader, yet the new Republicans have Trump, who is really isn't a conservative. The common flaw of both is the binary view on every issue

I dont even consider myself moderate. I just have core values that I hold important and neither party shares those same values. I am really strong in my opinions about a really small and limited govt, an efficient govt, limited regulations, rule of law, etc....

I have always gauged you as a true conservative. The "moderate" comment wasn't necessarily about your ideology. It's all about the perception of you by Trump Republicans because you aren't a "proud" supporter. I kind of hate to repeat it, but it's the dumbing down factor that has engrossed both parties. The fringes are ruling right now. It's why candidates absolutely SUCK from both sides. Most of those who really cared about the the country, from both sides, have left Congress over the past 10 years

Not so fast my friend! in my best Corso impersonation. You are not allowed to take your own ala cart stances on topics. You must choose from the monolithic platform of one of the two major political parties. All of it! And none of this Libertarian or Green Party nonsense either.

of course that would imply both parties have a damn idea what they actually stand for nowadays other than sticking it to each other.

Not many coaches parlayed an extremely mediocre coaching career to icon status as an a member of the media. Some have done it admirably. He took his fame to multiple levels higher. Even more so with Vitale

It appears James Fishback CEO of Azoria requested the memo, not Trump, for the purpose of describing legal framework, threshold required to fire Cook and anticipating what Cook's response might be to being fired.

Im a very strong fiscal conservative. Tiny fed govt. Efficient. Limited duties. Little to no regulations. Im probably as consistent of a fiscal conservative as there is here. Im not like a lot of the "conservavtives" here who will bend their beliefs to be in alignment with Trump 100% of the time. My beliefs are more important than an undying devotion to a morally deviant politician.

Socially, Im probably left of center. Once again, limited govt influence. Let people make their choices. Not opposed to gay marriage. Not for abortion bans in first 20 weeks or so. For all the exceptions in abortion. I just dont want the govt paying for it or supporting PP.

Trump supporters aren’t Conservatives. Certainly not fiscal Conservatives.

Not what the residence of DC are saying.

So let me ask the question, I would assume you would agree the goal is saving lives by lowering the homicide rate.

The conservative answer seems to be working.

What is your solution?

Do not focus on the conservative solution, focus on the Dems solution. That is the problem I see right now. Conservatives offer solutions and all the Dems do is provide a negative response but they have no policy solutions To the issues we face.

This is the opposite of a conservative solution. It's federal intervention into a city's problem.

Are you for a domestic military operation to deploy the NG in every city/township with a set murder GDP? That's not conservatism. You are part of a very big problem if you genuinely think it is.

And no, I don't believe the purpose of this decisuon is to save lives.

3 lives lost due to immigrants, how many deaths due to citizens of the USA? More than 3.
Look at what I posted. I used the Florida wreck as the “latest example” - not the total deaths that have been caused by Those of illegal immagrants. You are better than this…..come on.

So you are OK with lilleagal immagrants killing of innocent Americans because it is less than “deaths due to citizens of the USA”????

So that justifies Illegal immigration ??

See…..you all only attack our solutions. YOu never do the hard work of coming up with solutions AND implementing them. This is the Democratic Party biggest issue. Attack, attack, attack, Republicans solutions without providing a thoughtful solution of your own And then IMPLEMENTING the solution.

I am not for the military being used in every city where we have crime but I am also not for Democrats sitting there doing nothing other than manufacturing numbers to improve their standing with the electorate.

Trump has legal standing to provide military in DC and he has done it. It has worked. He is saving lives and reducing crime. I don’t see anything wrong with that and , based on the interviews I have seen, neither do the citizens of DC Particularly when the mayor is vacationing in Martha’s Vineyard. IN fact, they welcome it.

Now, PROVIDE YOUR SOLUTION. I welcome your thoughts.

I'm not ok with killing ,you (I think) are better than that.
I'm also not ok with demonizing a population due to actions of a very small percentage of others. I can turn this around and charge you with giving support to Americans murdering Americans.

Illegal immigrants are here to earn a living and support family. They do all they can to not attract attention. Gang members are not,but not all immigrants are not here to harm you as you suggest.

Tell me one instance that an illegal immigrants has harmed you or a family member.

My feeling is that because there is more consensus in the middle than most would like to believe, issues are immediately turned into black/white scenarios. I tell people don’t fall for either/or arguments because we live in a both/and world. Unfortunately, the political parties are ruled by the fringes trying to polarize any issue to garner support from the middle and ultimately secure more power and money.
