President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

News reports say its about documents. Seems weak, given the history of that issue, and that its retaliatory.
Weak history? I will grant you that Hillary and FJB set the standard. There's no way he could do anything worse unless he sold stuff to foreign governments

Trump’s 'OBBB' eliminates federal support for solar and wind energy, shifting focus to oil, gas, and coal production instead.......it may take longer than 12 months to fix ANOTHER mess made by the Democrats.....

"Over the past month, thousands of Illinois families opened their July utility bills and got hit with a wave of sticker shock — some bills doubled, others tripled. And while Governor Pritzker offers excuses and vague promises of future reform, working families are left to absorb the consequences of his failed energy policy.

Since the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) passed back in 2021, Senate Republicans and I have been raising the alarm. We warned what would happen if Illinois rushed to shut down reliable power sources without a backup plan. And now, those warnings have come true.

This isn’t a coincidence. It’s the direct result of a law that was pushed through without thinking through the consequences and it’s being made worse by a Governor who’s more interested in headlines than real solutions.

CEJA set ambitious goals: 100 percent renewable energy by 2050 and a carbon-free power sector by 2045. Sounds great for some in theory. But here’s the reality. The latest numbers suggest, Illinois was only getting about 14 percent of its electricity from renewables. Ten percent. That makes the 2025 benchmark of 25 percent a pipe dream. We’re nowhere close."

"The firm also has a lucrative partnership with a nonprofit also led by Sonia Aggarwal—the Climate Imperative Foundation, which funds some of the most active US eco groups and has invested tens of millions in partnerships with CCP-tied groups. Not very "nonpartisan."

Try again love. From that liberal rag Forbes (not rando MAGAs on Twitter). As I am wont to say, "MAGA b!tches!"

Trump has repeatedly promised to lower utility bills, but multiple reports released this summer blame his moves imposing new tariffs, cutting clean energy sources and supporting the expansion of data centers as reasons for the spikes in price.

Climate think tank Energy Innovation estimates energy provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, signed into law July 4, will increase wholesale electricity prices by 74% over the next 10 years, leading to a household energy cost increase of $170 annually by 2035.

Tariffs on steel, aluminum and their derivatives stand to increase the cost of construction and maintenance on transmission lines, substations and power plants, likely to be passed onto customers over time, and energy imports from Canada and Mexico are also subject to tariffs.

Trump's support of AI—he has vowed the U.S. will become “the world capital of artificial intelligence and crypto”—is also fueling the rise of power-hungry data centers, sending the demand for electricity (and its price) soaring.

it will take time for the OBBB to kick in and fix the mess left by Dems. The OBBB was just signed into law and has not even had time to have an effect and quit blaming AI for ANOTHER mess the Dems have created. Dems have been consistently shuttering coal and other reliable means of producing power over the last years. In the little town I live in it was announced by the local power company in 2023 cost would rise 10% over 3 years...1/3 in Oct 2023, 1/3 by Oct 2024 and final 1/3 this year..... all due to Dems.

The Bolton search is based on re-invigoration of a dead investigation into a 2020 book by Bolton. The Trump administration retaliated against Bolton back then because he was critical of Trump, particular as to Trump's bizarre affinity for Putin. The investigation was dropped four years ago.

Now, as Bolton has reemerged to criticize Trump about his taking it up the arse from Putin every chance he gets, the Trump administration goes back after this.

Let this be a warning to all Trump acolytes. If you dare decide when working for him that he is, in fact, a fraud and a con man, an egomaniacal narcissist, then you had better not tell anyone, lest he and his remaning acolytes sick the FBI on you.

You left out the part about who dropped the original investigation now didn’t you? 🤔

(Hint: he likes ice cream and was the nemesis of one „Corn Pop“)

"public corruption"

"deals with classified records"

If I remember correctly, seems like someone elses house was raided over documents and his wife's underwear was searched by a corrupt, out of control, lawfare, criminal Biden Administration

Own the libs at any cost. That's why. Crazy ass sh!t hurts libs feelings? COUNT ME IN! DC "liberal elite" hurt my feelings? Send in the National Guard and flex on them so hard they throw subway sandwiches and people and prance run away. F'ing owned. Raise taxes on all Americans without using the word tax but tariff instead? COUNT ME IN! F yeah this is great thank you sir give me another! Reduce federal government by firing a bunch of people and use it as a smokescreen to raise the debt by trillions? Hells yeah who f##king cares about debt now libs powned!

And still people can't realize the easiest way to own libs is to not give a single sh!t about them or anything that comes out of their mouths.

Also most people are stupid, borderline mentally retarded intellectually.
sums things up.

Sounds like a cause to lower interest rates. Yeah, that'd be good news. You didn't know that before posting this?
That's like it saying it's good news you have to start chemo. Lowering interest rates is necessary when you're trying to gin up a faltering economy. The only other time you lower rates is when inflation is below the feds target (and it's certainly nowhere near that right now).

"Today, as in many days, New Jersey is totally dependent on Pennsylvania to meet our energy needs. And basic economics says that decreasing supply amidst increasing demand always results in higher prices. "

Wouldn't have anything to do with pooping on Canada, with insults and tariffs would it. Funny how Canada shutting down electricity flowing into the USA and electric bills increase happen at the same time. Coincidence I'm sure.

GROK:
"No, Canada is not currently shutting down electricity to U.S. cities. In early 2025, Ontario Premier Doug Ford threatened to impose a 25% surcharge on electricity exports to Michigan, Minnesota, and New York in retaliation for U.S. tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump.
He also warned of potentially cutting off electricity entirely if the trade war escalated. However, these threats were not implemented. On March 11, 2025, Ford announced the suspension of the planned surcharge after productive talks with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, who agreed to discuss a renewed U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement. Both sides de-escalated, with Trump also backing down from additional tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum. While the possibility of future disruptions was raised, no actual electricity shutoffs have occurred, and the situation appears to have stabilized through negotiations."

it is ridiculous any US city is relying on another country for power.

Revenge. This is about exacting revenge.

Happens to Trump and the left is giddy. As they believe they “got him now.”
Happens to Bolton, it’s only revenge.

This is what the left wanted when they chose to go after Trump and failed. The left hated Bolton in Washington, but now he’s a victim.

Lol, trying to characterize Bolton as "left" of anything except maybe Franco, is a hoot.

But if that's the only way you can try to maintain the false equivalence of Trump holding classified documents in Mar-a-Lago bathrooms for moths, after repeatedly lying about even having them, then have at it.
