Trump has told us repeatedly that Putin is open to peace. That's why he told us that he invited him to the United States.

In fact, Trump campaigned on being able to "end this war" before he even took office, so the person you should be directing your questions to, is the President.

Yes, but you would be complaining about that as well. Its actually fairly simple to bring the war to an end, but you would be crying about that as well.

It appears at least on the surface that Trump is trying to negotiate an end to the war. You continue to criticize him for not living up to his campaign promise so what would you like to see him do to bring the war to an end?

Peace isn't doing whatever you say either, its the same thing. As far as what Russia has said their objectives are, they are either up for negotiations or not.

The Ukrainian nor the European leaders want the war to end, unless Russia collapses.

I don't know what that means, you have no cards. So, anything he could get for them is an improvement. However, at the end of the day Trump could bring the war to an end very quickly, but you don't want that. So, why are you on the board pretending like you want peace?

No it appears that Trump is sending Witkoff to be regularly bamboozled by Russian diplomats in some weird public humiliation fetish that they both seem to share.

I've yet to see Trump actually get a single concession out of Putin; that's not how "negotiations" work.

For the same reason that Putin doesn't want a ceasefire: he is winning.

I don't like it, but the only way I can read the West's call for ceasefire, while Putin calls for "peace" (i.e. some form of Ukrainian surrender) is because Putin is winning. Putin won't agree to a ceasefire because he doesn't want to lose the advantage he currently has and let Ukraine rearm/fortify during a ceasefire. He is pushing his advantage.

And, because Russia is winning, Trump has to treat Putin in a way that encourages him to come to the table in order to try to negotiate an acceptable deal for Ukraine.

Those doing business with Russia. I confess I am not up to speed on it, but the most prominent example I know of is India buying their oil. So call up India and offer to either replace that supply or to impose sanctions or tariffs making it cost prohibitive for them to continue to buy Russian oil.

No, Europe is buying Russian oil and gas, they just send it on the long route. Nothing like threatening and sanctioning a "friend". 😂

EU countries and Turkey included in the sanctions? I posted in this thread the billions of dollars per year India, EU countries and Turkey are supplying Russia with through oil/gas purchases.

He wants Trump to win the game with this hand, yet Trump didn't say it works out well for the Ukrainians - he actually said the opposite. Trump can end the war, but Beard would be upset about that. Its to the last Ukrainian because Beard isn't going. 😂

Which objectifies? "Denanizfication"? Protecting Russian-speaking Ukrainians? Closing "NATO bio labs"?

Amazing that after nearly 4 years, murdering Ukrainians hasn't seemed to accomplish any of these, but you're still carrying water for Putin in spite of that.

It has in the Eastern part and yes if it continues it will solve the issue. But whether or not it does isn't relevant.

You are just arguing to argue. That is their objectives, you are free to go fight if you want but you're not making any sense - they are not asking you for approval you are a sidelines NPC. If you want the war to end it would seem like their objectives need to be addressed or you better go suit up.

You would be upset if Trump ended the war, and you are upset because Trump hasn't ended the war. (you are arguing to argue)Trump can't help you, nobody can. 😂
