I see a remote there.
I remember the first remote control TV that I ever saw.
My aunt and uncle bought a new Curtis Mathis I believe it was.
I thought it was the damndest thing I'd ever seen.
My parents finally got one from Sears similar to the one in your picture, but still, all we had were channels 6 and 10 out of Knoxville and 26 when the planets were in their correct alignment.
But now, instead of me being the designated channel changer, I was promoted to lost remote finder.

I like going to the games. The experience of watching a game in Neyland and celebrating with complete strangers is awesome because you can forget everything for 4 hours. I'd love to go to the ETSU game that will not be televised (ESPN+) but for $100 in the nosebleeds I will stay home and hate that I can't watch my 2 favorite college teams on the field together because someone who can afford the season tickets decides he wants to make money off those tickets
$100 for nosebleeds isn't bad when you can just move down after the second half and sit where you want.

And for the whole experience. Still worth it to me.

You can sit in the lower level from kickoff on if you want. I have season tickets and haven’t sit in my actual seat since the 90’s.

I wanted one of those mini-tv's that looked like a walkman, 😂 or a TV watch

My first and second, and third TV's were a Quasar 8" B&W TV with rotary knobs & aluminum foil antenna.

In college upgraded to a 10" Color TV with lost remote.
My early years was a bulky console B&W in Bearden, and we got 6&10 on our antenna on a 20 ft mast, but had to catch 26 on a reflection off that ridge that ran through Rocky Hill. Horrible grainy and wavy picture.

Never forget that peacock unfurling before Bonanza on Sunday night on our first color set and that live wrestling on channel 10 featuring the Scuffling Hillbillies and those nasty German guys that somehow could sneak a metal folding chair into the ring and apply it. Did watch some early Dolly Parton on the Cas Walker show too. Got my pea pickin’ heart blessed a lot.
