Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Start the boat. Drive for 10-15mins, it dies. Starts back up and runs again for a minute then dies. Repeat.

What's wrong with it? I tried rubbing a wet rag on it already.
Chat has aided me in troubleshooting motors since I don't have a depth of experience there. Ij the past i've sometimes thrown parts at a problem. It helped me sort out a pulse carb issue and a way to modernize it on a tow mower I was building.

From Chat:

That symptom pattern—runs fine for 10–15 minutes, dies, restarts, then dies again after a minute—usually points to a fuel delivery or ignition heat issue. Since you already tried cooling it with a wet rag (a classic trick for vapor lock or coil overheating), here are the main suspects:

Likely Causes

1. Fuel Delivery (most common)

Clogged vent in the fuel tank cap → creates vacuum, starving the engine after some minutes. Try loosening the gas cap slightly—if it keeps running, that’s the culprit.

Dirty fuel filter or pickup screen → engine runs until demand exceeds flow.

Failing fuel pump → overheats and quits, works again when cooled.

2. Ignition/Coil Overheating

An ignition coil or power pack breaking down under heat load can act just like fuel starvation. Runs cold, fails hot, then restarts when cooled.

Often shows up as a hard stall, like someone hit the kill switch, rather than a gradual bogging down.

3. Vapor Lock (less common today)

Heat causes fuel to boil in the lines, starving the carburetor/injector. The wet rag trick would normally help here.

Quick Checks

Run it with the fuel cap loosened.

Pump the primer bulb while it’s dying—if it recovers, fuel delivery is the issue.

Check spark right after it stalls. If no spark → ignition coil/power pack.

My guess based on your description

If it bogs down slowly before quitting → fuel issue (vent, filter, pump).

If it cuts off suddenly, like a switch flipped → ignition coil/pack.

To clarify.... I'll start off supporting JA and I really hope he balls out to the point we look like 2022 again. BUT, I can't help it, I've got a bad feeling about him. *FTR, I'm seldomly wrong.

Suck it Geno!

Nico is a winner.

I can't wait until he is QB1

Also, there were more but can't do quotes on closed threads lol

Bartoo not a Joey metrics fan. We shall see. I think Heup has made the most out of his QB's.

keep reading. You'll find the receipts you are searching for. 🫠

I ain't no CVS, cause that's how long they'd be if I just grabbed all the times you was wrong. Part of being irrational fans though, we make big predictions and then we're wrong.

The biggest issue with JG was just the absolute cluster of coaching he received while here. But in appearance I also noticed Joey and him looking similar. Just remember though, one has Josh Heupel as his coach and an established team...the other got Butch in a nose dive then cornbread o_O

Yes. I've been wrong before.

*Keep reading my posts from last night. All the answers you seek will become crystal clear.

"I was all in on Nico winning the Heisman after we went to the ETSU game last season. I was wrong. We got to SEC play and Nico played scared." I said this last night. *Look for the Grease tell me more gif

In this case, "Adidas" and "NIL" are one in the same. The presumption is that as a signed Adidas athlete he will get more money at an Adidas school.

And is this allowed? As always, the answer is 🤷‍♂️
I wondered the same, until I remembered how scared the NCAA gets any time NIL is mentioned.

They had rules that the NIL could not be tied to attendance to a particular school. Then they started getting hammered by the SCOTUS about trying to limit SA's NIL. So... ???

I say write up the contract and let er rip. Who is the NCAA to say that Adidas can't sponsor kids based on which Universities are contracted with them? (I'll tell you who... The NCAA is the Universities, who have been told to cut it out due to anti-trust concerns. That's who.)

Loved my old Plasma...still one of the best looking pictures imo. Heavy as a SOB though, and put off some serious heat, but in a larger room wasn't an issue.

Also those older LCDs also put out the heat.
