3 of his last 5 NFL seasons have been shortened due to injury. I don’t won’t to wish injury upon him but chances are he will miss some games at some point. 17 games is a long season anyways. It’s a miracle most of these dudes make it through that.Joe Milton 1st half stats 2/8 11 yards a 1 interception. Plus got sacked for a safety.
Please God, don't let Dakota Prescott get injured this season..
Better to rip the bandaid off and start the young guy to get him acclimated to the pro game faster. If the Falcons had done that last year they might have been a playoff team. Look at Daniels. I would rather take my chances with the rookie and if he is good they find a way to get into the postseason than to start the aging vet that will inevitably go 9-8 or 8-9.Jaxson Dart may put Russell Wilson on sideline opening day. Second game in a row with a good outing.
You weren't around in the Tom Landry days of head football coaching. He wouldn't allow some players that were drafted #1 to play & it was very frustrating to the fans. Dallas fans had to wait 4 years until Roger Stauback got done w/the Navy before joiing the team.If I draft a QB in the first round you bet my arse I’m starting him Week 1. I’m not wasting a first round pick to let them sit out a season so they can “learn”. If that’s the case then I could have used that pick for another position of need. They can do plenty of learning on the field. Trial by fire is the best way in the NFL. Either they have “it” or they don’t.
And if you think about it, Dak was a great pick in the 4th round but they didn’t capitalize while he was on that rookie deal and now that he is on a humongous veteran contract he just isn’t as valuable compared to the rest of their salary cap. It actually hinders their chances to win a Super Bowl paying him that much. This is why I think Washington is going to be a force to be reckoned with for the next few years. They will be able to load up around him for the next 4 years while he is still on a team-friendly contract.Yeah, no one ever saw that coming from Tony.
I never knew who Dak was or where (college) he came from until he was drafted. And if you think about it, Dak was a great pick in the 4th round but they didn’t capitalize while he was on that rookie deal and now that he is on a humongous veteran contract he just isn’t as valuable compared to the rest of their salary cap.
