I don’t think the ncaa wants to piss off brands that big like adidasI’m sure the NCAA will come back and retroactively tell us “you can’t do that rabble rabble rabble”, slapping some b.s. penalty they just made up. All these Nike schools gonna be at a disadvantage if we do it right. Already preparing my loins for the ensuing battle.
I wanna say probably? We’d probably get into the playoff and beating Florida and Alabama at their places would be immensely gratifying.Would y'all take a 2003 season right now?
Lose to UGA at home but beat UF and Bama at their places (for the first time for each since... 2003). Drop another road game and then lose our bowl/playoff game to finish 10-3.
Also, can you imagine beating Bama in Tuscaloosa in 5OT nowadays?

But I hate to surrender the UGA game. I do think they’re probably our likeliest loss and we haven’t really gotten close to them in a long time. They are also more talented. But man am I tired of losing to them and who knows what might happen in Neyland?
It’s a tough call.
Wait a minute… Please clarify this for me… Did the NCAA not say in the punishment that they did not want to punish student athletes who weren’t even on the roster when all this was occurring? You’re telling me there are no players on the roster who played in 2022 or 2023? We are only in the season of 2025. Are you telling me the Michigan roster is full only of freshmen, sophomores, and transfers that only occurred in those two years? The NCAA still refuses to include Michigan stealing our signals in 2022 among the infractions. (We were not a regular season opponent, Stallions bought the tickets, but sent someone in his place.) It's OK to do that to Tennessee, according to the NCAA.
A Big Ten GM told CBS. "The problem with the NCAA taking so long to dish out a penalty helped Michigan here. A postseason ban with a quicker decision on top of their punishment would have hit harder." Instead, while the NCAA sat on his hands for years, "They did what they did and won a national title."
The scheme actually started in 2021.
No, I’m telling you the NCAA sucks.
