How many trips is enough per year? We ave 1 per year last decade...maybe a bit fewer.
I never made any assertion of "safe". My post addressed how common sense is a huge factor in safety.
We know many who go. A few who live in the area. Even family in baton rouge

Yeah. I mean, nobody I know really goes down there anymore for a reason. Its a good time and chances are it will still work out for you, but....each his own at this point. 🍻

There is always more to every story. For instance, Crime fell by 33% in DC last year because 2023 was a particularly violent year. It is now back on pace for it's normal amount of murders.

How about women not wanting to be raped/assaulted? Do they need to nut up also?

Well, to begin with, the Republicans don't seem to have any problem with being able to, as "free speech," contribute unlimited money anonymously (i.e. bribe) candidates.

Second, if you come up with a way to distinguish between what we can call "authentic" free speech versus paid for free speech, I direct you back to my first point.

Well, since you can be thrown in prison for certain speech let alone one that is being paid it seems this has already generally been worked out. I don't know what you mean by "authentic", he doesn't mention that word. You can actually be not only fined but put in prison for promoting foreign interests without being registered.

How is killing the child an act that is pro crime? You are arguing two different issues. The rapist should be hanged by his scrotum and beaten with a sock full of nickels. The baby didn't do anything wrong, yet you want to kill it.

That is the glaring inconsistency in the 'pro-life' movement. imho

It was the rape stance. He advocated for those raped by SA/incest keeping the baby. And you’re right, the baby didn’t do anything wrong. Someone who’s violated vs. being irresponsible to me aren’t equal to have one.

Women gotta be careful whether they're in DC, on a college campus, or wherever, unfortunately.

DC doesn't have a rape problem compared to the national average.

Rape seems to be a bigger problem in rural areas.

More to the story is should we have military personnel doing cop shat? In DC he has the authority to do so which is why I haven't commented much on this. But he sure as **** doesn't anywhere else. Our military aren't meant to be cops. And I'm sure a huge number resent having to do this. Granted, they probably resent a lot of what they have to do. However this is stupid. My current favorite is watching all the Trumpers who post stuff like “Who doesnt want things to be safer?” “I'm just against murder (Clay Travis)?”

That logic is how all the Covid shat was passed

That's the logic gun grabbers use
