Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Hubbs and I have been working it and the consensus has been Joey Aguilar looked sharp and ‘comfortable’ today. He had time to throw and found some really nice throws to Mike Matthews and others. Clearly put, the question becomes when and not if Josh Heupel names Joey the guy for the season.

Tennessee’s running backs look good again as that group is thriving behind a better OL.

Dasaahn Brame flashed again this week from the TE spot.

Bryson Eason and Dom Bailey did not go today out of precaution.

Boo Carter did scrimmage with the defense this week but was mostly with the 3s.

I know some fans won't agree with this. But this nugget is great news. Culture matters....A LOT! If he is not remorseful/rehabilitated then you simply can't fast track him back to the front of the line. Reports seem to be that he is still not bought it to what is expected. If true, leave him on 3rd team and move forward with the players that are bought in.
Playing Boo because of his talent when other players see him getting reps that he didn't earn by taking care of his responsibilities WILL NOT result in having a better season.

Thanks, did Hubbs have anything?

Ainge talkin a boot the scrimmage right now.

Brame he says will be a household name.

Said Aguilar looked good. Calm, poised, didn't miss any wide open ones. Missed a couple passes that were incomplete, but not terrible misses. He didn't do anything that was terrible and didn't do anything that made him go "omg amazing"

Very physical and big at the LOS.

They were doing season predictions and said they looked like a 9-3 10-2 football team.
I’ve said 10-2 for a long time. I’m sticking with it. CFP or bust boys and girls. Let’s Ride

If Brame keeps flashing, he's gonna end up on the wrong side of the law o_O o_O o_O

Would y'all take a 2003 season right now?

Lose to UGA at home but beat UF and Bama at their places (for the first time for each since... 2003). Drop another road game and then lose our bowl/playoff game to finish 10-3.

Also, can you imagine beating Bama in Tuscaloosa in 5OT nowadays?

Also emphasized overall team speed.

Ricky Gibson made a great play on a deep ball. Looked real gooder.

Rodney Garner was on one lol D-line extremely physical at the point of attack.

Swain said Aggy made it clear he's the guy today. Including one deep ball to Amari Jefferson. Defense lookin gooder as well.

Feel most confident about our big fat D. Hope you're ready Steve Angelli, because we are COMIN...

Take it and be happy with it without playing the season? No. Would potentially be selling the team short.

Would I be ok with that result at the end of the season? Absolutely
