The cherry picking is only excluding his first 4 games of the year. And I did that because it seems like a pretty useless data point when he missed the next 2.5 months.

I'm sorry if me bringing a bit of optimism to the situation interferes with your wet blanket mood.

No offense man, but, we are a couple months removed from you championing this team as the best in the NL with Spencer and Acuna waiting in the wings. Perhaps, counter that unfounded optimism with realistic expectations and don’t give this organization any benefit of the doubt as all grace they’ve earned has been expended.

What else does Luke Waddell need to do to get a look in the majors? He's been our best hitting "prospect" in Gwinnett by a decent margin, at least by anyone that has been a regular most of the season. The EV's are pretty solid at 87.9 (better than Ozzie). He's walking and striking out both at a 14% clip. And he has the ability to play SS (though not well).

This organization doesn’t deserve blind loyalty. They take us all for fools and insult us with lame bs in the media. What this organization needs is the fans and media proverbially banging down doors for the ineptitude and premature slamming of our window.

The product isn’t even watchable anymore

I'll take the hit on that. However it should be noted that when I said that we had just climbed back to .500. AJSS, Sale, Schwelly, and Holmes were still in the rotation. Ozuna had a .900ish OPS. Olson was mashing with a mid .800 OPS. Riley had around a .800ish OPS. Ozzie had like a 20 game on base streak going on and looked like he was snapping out of the funk he was in. It certainly seemed like we were on the up and up and then we were getting Acuna and Strider back.

It would be pretty hard to predict everything that would come after that. I'll admit I was too optimistic, but not even the most pessimistic person would ever have envisioned that on August 1st, 4/5 of out starting rotation would consist of Eric Fedde, Carlos Carrasco, Joey Wentz, and a rotating AAA arm.

That's fair. I was pretty pessimistic coming into this season and I thought we'd still fall into one of the WC spots.

I don't think anybody, no matter what issues they might have with the roster, Snit, AA/the front office, etc., would have thought on August 11 this team would be on pace for 92 losses. There are only 2 teams in the NL who have fewer wins than us.

In what way?

Ozuna was hitting at expected levels based on the last 2 years. So was Olson. So was Riley for the most part. So you think having a semi-healthy starting rotation is unsustainable? Come on now.

I think .500ish and in the Wildcard hunt was sustainable with better health luck. The bullpen and middle infield were going to always be problems though.

Also I might add, that even if you don't want to cherry pick Profar's stats, he's still hitting a lot better than his career averages. But that defense ain't gonna fly.

As someone said, maybe he can still play 2b and you could let Ozzie walk in the -off-season. You'd have to be pretty confident he could still play 2b though. He wasn't very good the last time he played there 3 years ago,

Also doesn’t help the manager is outwardly not giving a **** this year. Probably not fun seeing your manager sitting on a chair picking his nose and not having your back in 95 degree weather in June

They should have made some attempt at trading him. Maybe they did, and there was no interest.

He is owed $4M no matter what. I can’t imagine AA would not pick up a $9M option but this is the same guy that wouldn’t give Freddie a 6th year, offered Dansby’s $80M below his market and didn’t even contact Fried in the offseason for his FA, so it shows he doesn’t give a **** about loyalty
