Honestly though, what is he supposed to say. This is needless we should just nuke them all?
Putin can’t be trusted at all and I’ll bet meeting in Alaska is significant. I’ll speculate it’s along the lines of “sure we’ll give up the lands we’re occupying right after you give up the Russian lands you are occupying. You know, the land we are meeting in right now?”

I did think Hegseth or Gabbard were the dumbest people in this administration, but it's most definitely Witkoff.

They don't know what the plan is because... there is no plan.

Trump is just throwing **** up against the wall to see if anything sticks.

However... that Putin came out and said he'd quit if Ukraine gives him all of Donbass... that's pretty huge. A good sign, at least. Not saying Z should or would accept it.

He's going to tell Zelenaky to accept that he's lost what territory Russia currently occupies or fight this without our help. My question is will we allow Putin to demand territory he hasn't taken

If I'm Ukraine, I'd barter other locations currently occupied by Russia for the rest of Donbass.

Most importantly, under NO circumstances would I agree to anything that prevents Ukraine from joining NATO moving forward.

That's key.

Putin owns Trump.

You really need to drop the RussiaGate hoax and other lies that are at the root of the “Putin owns Trump” propaganda and lie. A massively anti-democratic and illegal dirty trick. You really drank the kool aid, but everyone knows now it was a crooked op.

Sometimes it seems like you are not really interested in Ukraine or the best interests of America. It’s just another way to play US domestic politics regardless of what is best for America.

There’s nothing wrong with saying what he said. It’s a reasonable thing to say before a meeting.

Too many grifters in the U.S. and Europe have given Z bad advice. He hasn’t even drafted 18-25 year olds. And now he’s fired the Ukrainians investigating grift and kickbacks.

Just end sigInt, bring all US personnel, weapons, and money home, and let him talk big all he wants. If he wants to be an ass.

You want to toss in Alaska to sweeten the deal for Putin?

You know, for the sake of "peace".

What can he do besides entering into war?
The obvious.

Establish a specific date in the future, say October 1, 2025. Tell Putin that on that day, Ukraine will be admitted to NATO. As such, any attack on Ukraine after that date would trip Article 5 and NATO would declare war on Russia.

Ain't complicated. No way on God's green Earth would Putin want war with NATO.

War would end and Ukraine now part of Europe.

Not true.

Due to the widespread backlash, Zelensky swiftly reversed course, submitting a new bill to parliament that restored the independence of NABU and SAPO. This bill passed parliament on July 31st and was signed into law by President Zelensky.
