It's very questionable at best if Trump would not have won the Republican primary that no one else would've been able to beat the machine and we would be discussing a Biden presidency today. As everyone will find out, it wasn't Trump they were after it was "power". The fact that Trump outwitted them only pissed off the entire establishment.

Funny thing is that every President in the modern era has laughed off being mocked. Even Gore, who wasn't POTUS, got eviscerated by SNL. As a result of him being a good sport, he hosted one of the great all time shows
