Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Uh, Lemmy couldn't drink 144 ounces of likker. That is gallon and a pint, that would kill four elephants.
Andre the giant could easily drink a case of wine and multiple cases of beer a day. Tommy Lee used to drink almost two gallons of vodka a day. Plenty of people can drink insane amounts of alcohol.

I don't think that's as much of a proven fact as you're making it out to be.

And don't fall back on " I didn't say those exact words." That's a tired way to converse. Your implication was clearly that it would be better to overindulge in alcohol than soda, and my hyperbole was clearly implying that you're putting a health halo around alcohol that it doesn't deserve.
You love spinning words. A real artist at it

But brother, if you’d think having 2000 calories, 92g carbs and 92g of artificial sugar is better, then by all means.

There’s no health halo around alcohol. You might would see that if you’d read the thread

Where Aguilar excelled on Wednesday was throwing it deep. This was the first time we have actually seen the quarterbacks air it out some. The talk about Aguilar coming in was he throws the ball well down the field (20+ yards). He looked good doing it today. Of the four deep balls we saw him throw, three were completed. -E.Cain
Love it. Keep it coming.

I’m ok with being wrong every once in a while :)

I think anything can happen and I trust Heupel to put the best man out there but I think Joey coming in and not immediately blowing coaches away really gives Merk a good shot. It just doesn’t appear to be much separation between the 2 except for Joey’s experience and Merks playbook and scheme knowledge.
Maybe. Or maybe the media doesn’t know. Plus it’s just 6 practices in.

Not to wade into any debates, but if you dial back modern alcohol content then a 6-8 pack a day would effectively be many working men's main diet before the industrial revolution. Some got paid partially in beer. It was effectively pasteurized liquid bread, and many drank it all day. They'd didn't live as long and weren't as productive, but they survived lol. Tea and coffee actually aided the industrial revolution with increased work capacity. As far as I am concerned your friend is just exploring the other extreme. 😆

So you don't buy in to the narrative that other teams have figured us out?
Not remotely. The issue was how much Heupel has been constrained by the abilities of his QBs.

Heupel doesn't have a master playbook that was handed down to him 10 years ago. He's constantly adapting to build something that works with the players he has to work with. The System isn't what made HH successful. It was a combination of a capable QB and Heupel trusting him not to give it to the other team. With a QB that can handle the mental game, the play calls (and results) will look different.
