Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Id like to see Moe at rg and perry at lg, just dont want 2 freshmen starting on one side

The thought is Perry is not a freshman in ability or size or effort. He is too good to keep off the field. Great problem to have for a youngin. Reminds me of Cooper. Likely our OL is a strongpoint.

It seems they they really want Pendleton to start and Perry has turned into a beast and they can’t leave him off the field. So they are trying to get him to take over center. Good problem to have. I Love that we could have Umarov, Satterwhite, Warren, Heard as backups. That’s pretty damn good for NIL era.

Hear hear.

Anyone else get the feeling Farooq gonna make a huge 2nd year jump and be a key contributor to our defensive dominance this se
I take pretty much all media commentary in preseason, and really on team performance in general, with a grade of slaw. Not sure why so many put stock in their “practice reports”

I do however pay attention to their recruiting info.
Most of them get their inside info from message boards like VN. They are just like my wife, they make outrageous speculations about the future and when they are wrong they act like they never said it.

Maybe they had the QBs blurred out so the media had to guess who was who.

I feel like we are pretty banged up right now for it to only be day 6 of fall camp.

Brazzel- has not practiced yet
MM- limited
Staley- missed back to back

McCoy- has not practiced yet
R. Gibson- missed today
Joshua Josephs - missed 3 in a row

Most of those are precautionary and would likely play 100% tomorrow if needed. McCoy as we know will be back early/mid season. I think this staff is tired of mid season injuries and playing it safe at the start of camp to keep people fresh out of an abundance of caution and I am okay with that as long as we pick their reps back up by end of camp. We do need chemistry. Not too worried injury wise, yet.

I’m gonna go ahead and shoot my shot early.

Even though the Vols media can’t seem to get the rotations right when talking about the same practice, everything I’ve read and heard is nothing but positives about Merk and how much he’s developed and how consistent he is. He’s got a good, not great, arm and an understanding of the offense.
I think he wins this competition and starts the season for us. I still think it was worth it to get Joey as an experienced backup.

I wish it was that way for me. I went cold turkey on carbonated drinks for almost 3 years while I got in shape. One day at a ballgame I let myself get one, not like there were other options in Neyland 12 years ago. That first sip of Coke tasted just as good as I remembered. I don't drink them often, but if I do, Coke always tastes good.

You're right though, the dude at work is gonna have kidney stones the size of tennis balls and metabolism about the speed of a sloth if he keeps it up.
I still like them. Cherry Coke is the king for me. It's just that first sip after not drinking them for a while. Tastes like straight sugar syrup and feels like someone duct taped an air compressor hose to my stomach and opened it up full blast, 😂

The Iowa primaries really f'd America. Corn syrup in all the foods and drinks, corn ethanol in all the vehicles, and who knows where else they shove the corn, prolly a filler in pharmaceuticals for all I know. If Iowa farmers have to be on the government breast so the bribe-eats can get rich at the country’s expense, just buy all of it and set it on fire.
Half our food is cooked in motor oil, 😂

Honestly…I’m glad he’s saying this. Good bulletin board material. When we’re good, Vandy is always the game where it’s easy to overlook them and let them give us a run for our money. Him running his mouth is making it very easy for our guys and frankly every other team in the league to be focused on crippling him (figuratively speaking) and embarrassing them on the scoreboard.
The game is in Knoxville, they're toast.

Yeah go ahead and ingest all the complete nonsense ingredients in a soda vs the 4-5 ingredients in beer. Let me know how it shakes out for ya

300+ calories, 70+ grams of sugar per bottle of 24oz soda let alone the artificial ingredients
Your liver wouldn't handle 150 ounces of beer every day. I'm not saying either is good for you, but let's not act like beer is a health food.

Torn on who to root for in this game besides a meteor. I usually want OSU to lose no matter what, but the last thing I want is Texas to go beat them at their house and come back with all the real UT talk
No problem. I want OSU to lose every game they play. There are a number of Obnoxious OSU fan living in our neighborhood and everyone of them can move away tomorrow and I would not shed a tear.

I don’t wager, but if I did, I would bet you are wrong
