Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

It depends on how much alcohol you are drinking. As a nurse, my wife works with so many patients that have destroyed themselves with alcohol. Calls it a poisen. Thus, I pretty much cut out most alcohol. Plus, I get to lose dat beer belly.
They’re both poisons. Both terrible for you. I just believe pretty strongly one is less bad than the other

I guess he means 24 shots of alcohol a day wouldn’t exactly optimize health.

Even 24 16-oz bottles of water might run the risk of flushing your needful sodium. Doc will be along to tell us.
Neither optimize health. The most popular beers are 100ish calories with 2-4g of carbs, 1-2g of sugar per beer (would have to double for 24oz can argument).

For reference a 24oz mt dew, according to google, is 340 calories, 92g carbs, 92g of sugar lol let alone the artificial ingredients to give it flavor and color

So the guy Enki works with is ingesting 2040 calories, 552g carbs and 552g of sugar just from mt dew lol

Gross. Nasty. I don’t drink sodas.

Anyone else notice how terrible carbonated drinks are after you've stopped drinking them for a while? They're hard to drink and taste like pure sugar.

This dude at work drinks a 6-pack or more of the 24oz Mt Dews a day. It has to be destroying his insides.
Man!!! I gave them up over 10 years ago. I used to love Coke (Cola for Volnation crazies lol). Wife and I decided to give it up for new years. Now if I ever get a Jack n coke from someone, I can’t even barely drink it. I can’t handle carbonation now. It’s crazy and makes me worried what I did to my stomach before giving it up.

Lance Heard, Wendell Moe, Sam Pendleton, Jesse Perry and David Sanders.

IMO will be our starting 5
It seems they they really want Pendleton to start and Perry has turned into a beast and they can’t leave him off the field. So they are trying to get him to take over center. Good problem to have. I Love that we could have Umarov, Satterwhite, Warren, Heard as backups. That’s pretty damn good for NIL era.

At 8.15 on the morning of 6th August 1945, the Japanese city of Hiroshima was devastated by the first atomic bomb to be used as a weapon of war. The bomb, nicknamed "Little Boy", was dropped from the USAAF B29 Bomber the "Enola Gay," and exploded some 1,800 feet above the city. Delivering the equivalent of around 12.5 kilotons of TNT, the bomb reduced 5 square miles of the city center to ashes and caused the deaths of an estimated 120,000 people within the first four days following the blast. Many were instantly vaporized by the explosion, others died afterwards from the effects of burns and radiation.

Before my Type II diagnosis I drank sodas because they were there. Could not handle Diet Coke or any cola, but transitioned to orange type and locked in on Diet Dew and Diet Sundrop for years..THEN broke from all fizzy drinks and now live on those two gallon and 16.9 diet mixes, Crystal Lite some but primarily Aldi’s Lemonade. 10 times cheaper and it goes from lemonade to water with lemon through the day and is always drinkable. Throw in a fruit punch every once in a while.

Part of my Ozempic miracle where I lost 80 lbs, have A1C to kill for and off all other sugar drugs but Metformin which has other health pluses and cheap. Only discipline I have ever exhibited was the needed intermittent fasting.

I wish it was that way for me. I went cold turkey on carbonated drinks for almost 3 years while I got in shape. One day at a ballgame I let myself get one, not like there were other options in Neyland 12 years ago. That first sip of Coke tasted just as good as I remembered. I don't drink them often, but if I do, Coke always tastes good.

You're right though, the dude at work is gonna have kidney stones the size of tennis balls and metabolism about the speed of a sloth if he keeps it up.

The Iowa primaries really f'd America. Corn syrup in all the foods and drinks, corn ethanol in all the vehicles, and who knows where else they shove the corn, prolly a filler in pharmaceuticals for all I know. If Iowa farmers have to be on the government breast so the bribe-eater politicians can get rich at the country’s expense, just buy all of it and set it on fire.

“quarterback order remained Jake Merklinger, Joey Aguilar and George MacIntyre. Merklinger was the sharpest and most consistent on this particular day, and MacIntyre ended the period with a nice deep ball. Overall this was one of the cleanest routes-on-air periods we’ve seen in camp outside of an Amari Jefferson drop.”

Love the differing reports lol
"The reporting on air session was a bit sloppy today. Multiple reporters fumbled their information and conflicting reports were conflicting. The VN faithful were once again confused but decided to burn the whole thing to the ground again for the 37th time since fall practice started roughly a week ago. We will keep our mattresses prepped for burning and the fahrin machine revved up to 11 well into the season to ensure maximum overreaction is achieved to all miniscule reports, irregarless of whether they conflict with each other or not."

Maybe they had the QBs blurred out so the media had to guess who was who.

You really want to make Merk to happen. 😂

They should. It's either all or nothing with them. How has it never crossed their mind to create something in the middle of full bore liquid death and zero-sugar? Could call it "Half-Bad Coke" . . . slogan could be "Half Bad, 100% Good" or "Half Bad, All Good"

Additional slogans could be "only $50 per gram", "Burns like hell but soon your nose won't have any more feeling", "Half Hookers and Half Blow".

... Sorry, wrong coke product.

Heard, Sanders, Moe, and Pendleton are locks. Sounds like they're still trying to figure out if they want Satterwhite at center and Pendleton at guard or Pendleton at center and Perry or Umarov at guard. They've done a lot of work with Pendleton at center, Moe at RG, and Umarov at LG. Either way, it seems like they're happy with the progress of all of those interior guys and will have some really good depth there. I'd like to hear some reports on how Warren and the other backup OTs are doing. That's probably the only concern with the o-line right now.
