I know there are a lot of vets and active duty folks in here. Thankful for all you do. Disappointed that the systems designed to support you are abject failures.

This is a prime example of why the government needs to stay out of healthcare and why we don’t want universal healthcare like Canada…….

I promise you the private healthcare system in this country is just as broken. You can stretch your arm out and find a doc on each end that is throwing meds at people without any real investigative work on what can truly help them.

A startling number of vets wouldn’t even have insurance and be able to afford to go to a doc without the VA.

I promise you the private healthcare system in this country is just as broken. You can stretch your arm out and find a doc on each end that is throwing meds at people without any real investigative work on what can truly help them.

A startling number of vets wouldn’t even have insurance and be able to afford to go to a doc without the VA.

The VA is world's better than it used to be. We had an older neighbor when I was about 20 that was having health issues. Since he was a Vet, we asked why he didn't go to the VA. He said he had had too many friends go into the VA with a sniffle and come out in a body bag. He wouldn't go near the VA. It is much better, but far from perfect.

Eat reasonably healthy. Exercise regularly. Take care of you body. It is the only one you get and modern medicine is designed to keep you alive, not allow you to live.
