Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Happy Tuesday

July 29, 2025: This is a time of putting things in order, but you are inclined to notice what other people need to do instead of examining your own shortcomings. Remember that when you point your finger at someone else there are three fingers pointed back at you. Before you criticize others, look at yourself first, but be generous in your evaluations. To err is human; to forgive is divine. Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

You ever seen Reggie bush’s tape?
Not as good as Kelvin Taylor from Florida. I know one famous Volnation expert agrees with me.

Listening to the VQ podcast AP said that he thinks it comes down to ATM and the Vols for Keys. Said he is good friends with Faizon Brandon and Kelsey Pope and both are peer recruiting pretty hard. Hubbs mentioned that it may be hard to convince him to leave the coach who recruited him there who is also from Hattiesburg. When asked about Hiter AP jokingly said he is about 52% on him signing with Tennessee. Said he thinks he will take his time, but once he commits he will stay committed. On Moa, AP said the Vols are very much in it. The kids camp is not saying much but the Vols have a very good dialogue. It will be hard to pull him away from Utah where his dad went, but if he was going to stay home why not commit already. Seems like this will be a close one. Let's close strong! GBO

Ive heard we are giving up on Gray and putting all our focus on Hiter and Keys, and im sure Moa too
Hiter and Keys are more important. If passing on Gray means we land both, it's worth it. But I still think we need another IOL for this class.

Moa would be a nice pick up just based off his athleticism and his ability to play either side of the ball.

I'm not saying anything profound, but at some point years ago I realized that unforgiveness in nearly every case does nothing to the person who you can't forgive. Forgiving releases me and evicts them from living rent free in my head.

Even knowing that, sometimes it just takes time and maturity.

When people criticize others they're just trying to forget their own shortcomings...

It happens plenty everyday even on here...

Son of Sam's 1st Victim.

In the early hours of July 29, 1976, 18-year-old medic-in-training Donna Lauria and her friend Jody Valenti, then a 19-year-old nurse, were sitting in Valenti’s blue two-door Oldsmobile Cutlass in the Bronx, after a night dancing at a disco. Without warning, a man approached their vehicle, pulled a gun from a paper bag, and fired multiple shots, striking Lauria in the back and killing her instantly. Valenti was shot and wounded in her leg, but survived the attack. This brutal and seemingly random crime marked the beginning of a violent spree of attacks that would keep a terrified New York City on edge for more than a year until David Berkowitz, originally known as the “.44 Caliber Killer” because of his weapon of choice, was captured by authorities in August 1977.

I’m a pretty forgiving person, but I have one that I’m holding onto and having a hard time letting go

Should we really be in the business of recruiting Hitler? Bad look.....wait, nm. misread.

If this chart holds true and the deep ball suddenly is a regular option again, who do y’all think in the WR room is best equipped to take advantage of it?

Obvious choice to me is Mike Matthews because I feel like his speed and hands make him a true deep threat WR but I’m interested to know what y’all think.
