I want my backup IF to be like an 80-85 OPS+ guy if he's a good defender. Basically Arcia pre-2024 is what you want.

Allen is so far beyond that bad he's basically useless. In 1992, he would be fine as your backup IF. In 2025 it's inexcusable he's on the roster.

If your guy needs a IL stint, you shrug your shoulders and hope for the best for two weeks

The issue is we haven’t had a starting shortstop for 3 years
