Possibly. It’s up to his coaches and teammates to decide if they feel like they can trust him at this point. Like I said, IF they allow him to stay on the team I’d make it clear to him that this is it. One strike and he’s gone.

It also allows us to address the position for next year through the use of the transfer portal after the season. There's also a very real chance he has enough success this season he stays until moving on to the NFL. But either way, it allows us to cover the position.

Apologize, Get his head straight now and play well then he can go during the normal portal window. We will play alot of young talented guys too and they will be ready to step in when he leaves along with getting our own portal players.

Am the only one, though I’m chopping at the bit for the season to start, to can’t wait until I can’t watch and turn on the radio to listen to Mike? Turning on the radio to listen to the game still brings me back to that 9 year old riding to the Smoky Mountains and having the turn to sit in the front seat, feeling the crisp autumn day on my face and smell it and listening to John Ward on radio. I feel like our younger VOL fans are going to get a taste what we took for granted.
