It appears that he has accepted the fact the he will be a clip board carrier.

Oh well

And what exactly was Scroggins talking about in regards to Pete Carrol? The whole race healing issue? Wtf is he talking about.

he has a season of football coming up this fall, and the glow of being a Trojan hasnt worn off yet. after that, i wonder if the reality that he may not play a game for 2 or 3 more years will set in.. he will also have to contend with the studs that come behind him. i think that would be the case at UT, also, but he would at least have a likely chance for some game experience before that happens. just a flat out terrible decision.

What you really mean to say is that he might just possibly be mentally retarded.:dance2:

I think the news man on the right is in love with jesse...goodluck jesse...hope you get to play...(b/c if ur playing with the guys that you have in front of you then something bad went down at SC)

I don't know one single qb worth his oats that does not want to PLAY football. Who wants to sit the bench? Never in my life did I ever think to myself hmm I would really just rather sit on the bench than play. I'm actually glad he decided to go to USC because in reality the guy is scared, it's obvious. At Tennessee we want a PLAYER not a bench warming nancy boy. Congrats once again Jesse on your very wise decision. Thank you for not coming here and being the bust I already know you are.

nah, he sounds like an intelligent young man. i just think he made a decision that will hurt him in the long run. PC really pumped this kid full of nonsense. yes they have put several QBs in the NFL, but wearing a Trojan jersey is NOT a ticket to play on Sundays, and if a kid has a chance to play early in a high profile conference, on a team that is getting lots of publicity and talent, then he better jump on it. that goes for any QB prospect out there.

Good points, Orange P and thanks for posting SCTrojanFan.

There is a good chance that UT would have recruited a better QB behind him as well. Essentially, he had a window of opportunity here to get on the field and prove himself whereas he doesn't have that at USC.

He simply underestimated both Barkley and Corp who are ahead of him and the talent in 2011 and 2012 that is behind him.

I don't think our staff should waste another thought on him at this stage.

can you say transfer to WAC conference in two years?

Usually I'm quick to write-off players who pass on the Vols. Then again, for some reason, I'm really pulling fo this kid. I think it's because I'm just thankful he didn't pick UF.

Exactly...I don't care to waste another second on the punk.

Looking at your last ten or so posts, I'd say you're a sucker for second wasting. But hey, if it makes you feel good to insult a 17 year old kid for taking less than a month to make the most important decision of his life half a year before he was required to make it, you go right ahead.

I love how you guys berate a high school kid who chose to stay close to home and try and compete at a powerhouse. A lot of class going around in this thread.

"Sitting on the bench is not all that bad" hahaha right, Jesse. Matt Barkley, Aaron Corp, Mitch Mustain. Not to mention all the kids they will recruit in the next two years before JS gets a chance to play.

I wish the kid luck, but he could easily go through college without ever playing a significant down.

Little hypocritical when you guys call out the Gator/LSU fans for missing out on a player we land (Nuke/Janzen) for the "oh, well he sucked & didn't want him anyways" arguments and then verbally beat down Scroggins. That thread didn't explode to 11,000 posts because most of you thought he sucked.

No one said he sucks. All that is being implied is that SC has tremendous depth at QB, and he will have to be even better than advertised to play in the next 2 or 3 years. That isn't a knock on him. Pretty much any QB in this year's class would be in the same situation if they chose SC.

I still say he switches his commitment to UT at some point during season. Thus kid is going to be good either way. Can't believe so many people here are bashing him when he still could be the future for us at QB.

nah, youre totally right. man that kid sucks. god, i cant believe that i ever wasted 11,000 posts and 3487594397 hours reading all of them just for an untalented kid. USC and CLK must not have a clue about recruiting. JS has failure written all over him. what is he, a 2* prospect??? bah, we should let UF have him. hes a punk.

oh, wait, im not TennaciusUTfan or w/e. i actually did like him, sorry.

In this thread alone we have:

*mentally retarded
*punk
*nancy boy

IMO, these would pretty much be on par or beyond with "sucks." Trust me, we all know the odds are stacked against him to see any significant playing time at USC. But it looks pretty lame to beg this kid to come here and then toss out insults like hand grenades.

If Matt Barkley wins the starting job this year or even next, Aaron Corp becomes a prime transfer prospect (and no, I'm not really in the rumor mill department that Carroll and Kiffin are negotiating collegiate trades as old buddies). Depending on how well he obviously learns and adapts to the USC offense he could be the #2 QB at USC in a year or two if that's the case. Then he's either a declaration from the NFL or an injury away from playing football for a team in his own backyard.
