Not at all surprising to me. They are investing lots of resources right now into recruiting because it's cheaper than the portal. Both those schools have lost guys they did not want to lose to the portal the last few years. (Revisionist history aside.)

Nico has a higher physical ceiling as a professional QB. But in Heupel's offense, Hispanic Hooker is a better fit and this offense will have more potential if we can keep him protected.
