I don't really know much about international trade so I don't speak on it I absorb and listen..for the most part..he had fulfilled alot of his promises and one of those was to get the US out of a trade deficit..idk where we stand on that but it was a promise..his approach seems irractic but then again so does most of what he does.

A defense to this might go something like, "Donald Trump thought that there was a client list, but he was wrong. It was an honest mistake."

Fine, but it is still Trump's fault for making such a promise, without being certain that there was a client list to publicly release.

I'm sure that Trump assumed that even if there wasn't a client list, his base would forget about it, as soon as he told them that it was time to move on from it. This was more important to his followers than he realized, and Democrats are trying to score some points from that. That's how politics goes in 2025 .... and this is not unfair to Trump. He hyped the existence of a client list, before he had seen such a thing.

I have never mentioned the client list bc I knew he didn't know if it existed or if he could release it. It is/was political theater on both sides.
