Movies you've seen recently II

Con Air was a blast. Lord of war and Pig were both good. Face off, National Treasure, The Rock, Family man, Leaving Las Vegas, Next...he's had some good ones.

I actually watched The Surfer last night. Wtf was that? Lol.

Don't forget about Raising Arizona. That's my favorite Nicolas Cage movie.

Gone in 60 Seconds was just good, dumb fun but I've watched it several times.

Saw JP and that it wasn't bad but the D-Rex was a little much. I guess they were trying to find something different from T-Rex to be the "bad guy" but it was too out there for me.

Seen Wicker Man? It's a classic

Very watchable 90s action movies -
Heat
Seven
The Green Mile
The Usual Suspects
True Lies
Speed
Con Air
Rush Hour
3 Kings

you've probably saw these....
Terminator 2
Fight Club
Braveheart
Shawshank Redemption
The Matrix
Point Break

*The Last of the Mohicans is in my top 10 movies of all time list. 👍👍
If he now just saw that, you think he's seen all those you said lol

Ask him. Lol

*I would think most everyone has seen T2, Shawshank, The Matrix, and Braveheart. Those are some of the most popular movies over the past 30+ years. The Last of the Mohicans was not really a "blockbuster" movie like the ones I listed.

Minus documentaries, it’s the best movie on the GWOT.

Funny enough, 1-26 belonged to my Brigade when I retired (2 BCT, 101).

My biggest gripe, the streets were never that clean and there were WAY more wires between buildings 🤣.

I spent 46 months in that chit hole. I will give credit to the sniper portion of the film. People assume it’s all cool and exciting, but it’s mostly observation like they portray here (I am Sniper qualified).

Casablanca = it's a tough watch. It did have a bunch of famous lines, but that's not worth the price of admission.

I had heard it was the best screenplay ever, and was surprised to find it didn't follow traditional writing structure.

Most movies are good because the hero makes a choice that starts the fun and games. Cool Hand Luke cuts the heads off parking meters literally in the first minute of the movie. Josh Baskins asks to be big in the first 5 minutes of the movie.

Rick made no choices to further the plot until the movie was almost over. The fun and games start at like minute 95 and end at like minute 98.

It's just a slow-ass movie without a ton of entertainment value. Great for the time, but we got way better at making movies fun.

F1: The Movie

The action was great and the story was pretty good too. I was entertained the whole 2.5 hours. It felt like one of those "90s action movies" that I posted earlier this week.

Hollywood seems to be getting back to making good action movies without pushing politics. The past 6 movies I've saw at the theaters have not been disappointing.

Top Gun : Maverick
Furiosa
Mission Impossible (dead reckoning movies)
Twisters
F1

Thank you for your service, brother.

I've really enjoyed learning to shoot things from a distance.... but I would never want to be in a hot damn desert with hostiles in my glass.

Which GWOT documentaries are best iyo?
