Israel vs Palestinians

You could start with the messages from earlier today where he brought up the topic along with campus protests. I respond regarding both. He then only responds to the claims regarding Greta again and then continued for several other posts.

If you read that you’ll find a post I bumped from almost 2 years ago calling him out for the same thing and you could then read those posts also.
I looked at every post in this thread containing the word octopus. I don't know how I'd missed putting that in my weekly planning Monday.
@NashVol11 didn't keep bringing it up. His comment mentioning it today was a valid comparison. Many of us have brought up something another poster wrote way back when, to make a point. In 2023 he answered several of the pro-Bibi crowd who kept bringing it up apparently without reading posts right before theirs.

Inconvenient fact for the “Free Palestine” brigade: if only local Arabs and nearly all Arab states had not initiated a genocidal holy war against the nascent Jewish state in 1948, there would not have been a single Palestinian refugee.
Yet there were Palestinian refugees before the Arab states went to war. Hmmm.

Bravo, I’m impressed you know the true history about the Arab States going to war.

People don't know the Arabs were the aggressors in 1948 & sought to exterminate the Jews?

“50 million Arabs declared a holy war against 600,000 Jews.”

Egypt's Minister of War: “This will not be a war with the Jews, it will be a parade. Within 2 weeks, we will be in Tel Aviv.”

What I was trying to tell people

Like I can see to a certain extent if someone saw that and it crossed their mind but even then that’s still a reach. Context and intent matters. Heck I’d be shocked if she even knew the cartoon imagine from 100 years ago ever existed.
Might as well call anyone who drives a ford an antisemite

Not quite but what actually happened and when doesn't fit some people's preferred narrative.
Holy war? No, land war.

You might want to look into this a little further before you draw a conclusion.
Just saying.

Sure, is there anything else that links an innocent plush toy to the bs
So and anti Israel activist who’s parents are vocal antisemites just happen to sneak a toy into the picture. The toy is available in 16 colors but the anti Israel activist picks the baby blue. All her friends are high fiving her on twitter for the jab till people call her out and all that garbage gets deleted and replaced with the “I had no idea….” Bull ****.
But sure, I’m sure it was innocent, even though she’s never post a picture with that , or any other autistic toy, before or after. An anti Israel post just happens to contain an anti Jewish Nazi trope.

She thought she was being coy and got caught being the trash she is. Plain and simple.

Good lord we’re on the octopus again.

Of course it’s a benign fkn plushy toy lol. That was never in question. Context does indeed matter, as does Greta’s history.

Everything she does is about sending a message, making a statement. She’s literally holding a sign, making a statement in the picture.

So is the “blue octopus” perfectly staged by complete happenstance?
Or did someone else (likely) tell her to put it there?

It obviously wasn’t “snuck into the picture”, it was the biggest trending toy for a few years, everyone was gonna notice that. Ya it’s really no surprise a girl would choose pink and blue as the color, I’d bet that’s probably their most sold color. What were the tweets about the jab? Just because she never posted a picture with it before doesn’t correlate it to antisemitic propaganda

A young girl decides to use a trendy toy for what it’s designed for. Not that deep

Idk how it started and I find it ridiculous this was ever discussed

It’s a picture with what 4 other young girls? It would be no surprise if all of them own one of the best selling toys in a very liked color (pink and blue). The purpose of the toy is to express your mood, you can reverse it and it’s smiling. That’s the statement she’s making, notice how they’re all making the same facial expression too

Huff could drive a ford, that’s not a statement of antisemitism. Sure you could say he purposely chose it because the creator was an antisemite and he agreed with his views. But without adding anything other than assumptions to that it’s nothing more than a reach

Calling someone/something anti-Semitic, racist, nazi, etc is a very serious accusation and gets thrown around far too often today when it’s not needed

Her entire public life has been one continuous political statement. She’s making a political statement in that picture, the octopus isn’t there by accident, it’s not perfectly placed there for something as silly as to convey her “mood”.

I have no idea whether it was her idea or not. I deem it more likely that someone told her to do it - she is after all, a pawn of others.

I too deem it more likely that it was intentional, as opposed to coincidence.

You of course are free to interpret it however you choose.

Well said.

This isn't a candid photo of Greta just happening to be in possession of the plushie. This is a staged photo.

Was he bringing it up or answering posts?
The original post is #8369 linking a tweet. It was mentioned 2-3 times by posters that I haven't noticed much in this thread, until Nash's post #8397 when he mentions it in comparison to racist remarks.

Ive done the homework, it's up to y'all to decide who makes a big deal over it and who doesn't.

"Nash made it a big deal," they say, as me and Smokey dismiss it and the same posters who made it a big deal initially are right back here arguing it's some intentional act of antisemitism yet again 😭

Its moronic to think she didn’t do it on purpose.
My autistic child says every one at the center thinks she did it on purpose. You’re free to think whatever you want.

I have not thought about it or that person in over a year till Nash added me to his deflection for some reason.
You may now continue your blissful ignorance without me.

Walk with me through Dachau where my ancestors were exterminated and then I might care what you think about the accusations I make
