President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

I was thinking Geo Bush(daddy bush).
Clinton 2nd term to a degree.
I would say Bill Clinton if it hadn't been for the Lewinsky fling, that bitterly divided people for 7 months in 1998. There was great collaboration between Clinton and Newt Gingrich. They got a lot of bi-partisan legislation passed, where there was true compromise with some give and take. That was a good time for the country, but unfortunately, it was tarnished by a cigar and a semen-stained blue dress.

Give me a break. It's in his nature to be antagonistic and mean spirited. Trump promoted birther-ism aggressively in 2011 and his behavior in the aftermath of losing the 2020 Presidential Election was a disgrace, and there is nobody to blame for that but him.
He is but you can't want him to act better if the other side is acting crazy as well.

It would be great if we could ever have another President who wasn't so combative and didn't politicize everything, and wasn't always in search of the next public spat to get into. This country desperately needs leadership more in the mold of a unifier.

I have no idea who that could possibly be from either party.
Amen.

When Ben Carson was proven to not even have a chance, I pretty much abandoned hope.

What were the “critical” vacancies? The article said that could be a lot of things without being specific. Who determines what full staffing is? The agency that’s being streamlined?

That is what big government people do. They always argue for more government. You try to reduce government anywhere and they go crying.

You are grossly over-simplifying the mistakes that the DOGE clearly made, in order to be as sympathetic to them as possible.

This really is pretty clear.

In February, the DOGE fired nuclear safety workers who were depended upon to safeguard the nuclear stockpile of the United States. The very next day, the Trump administration realized how bad this error was and tried to rescind the firings, but struggled to do so, because DOGE had not collected new contact information from some of them, and their federal e-mail accounts had been stripped.

if you want to reduce government, you don't go about it like this. This was unprofessional and reckless of DOGE.

“The most destructive thing you can do with intelligence is to weaponize it for one party’s political gain against another, to blame an admitted adversary for something they didn’t do. It was like pouring gasoline on the fire …

“For all of the bad things Vladimir Putin has done and is capable of doing, they didn’t need to exaggerate it or run a fake story [in 2017] and again in 2020 with the laptop, claiming that Russia influenced the outcome.”

The bogus ICA is what launched the false narrative of “Trump as a Russian agent.”

At the very least, Radcliffe said, Brennan, Clapper and Comey should be pariahs.

“These guys shouldn’t have a voice. They shouldn’t be able to influence the American people …

“Under my watch, I am committed to ensuring that our analysts have the ability to deliver unvarnished assessments that are free from political influence.”

Brennan, Clapper and Comey should be in jail.

The only way to let this happen is have the opposing party ( AND MEDIA) provide the willingness to do so. Once Trump stepped foot on the escalator, he never had a chance. The media, and later, the Democratic elite machine, was never going to allow someone like him to lead without opposition at every turn. Ask yourself how you would have responded for 10 years of lies about you and your family shown 93% of the time on TV? Say what you want, but he is tough and resilient.

The BBB is a perfect example….what if ONE Democrat would have come forward and said,”I’ll support if you would consider “‘xyz’”. Trump would have listened and acted IF the proposal would have made sense. But, not one Dem was allowed to come forward with anything. Instead, Jeffery's made a spectacle of himself for opposing something the majority of Americans voted for And the rest of the Dems followed with scare tactics on what the bill provides for the citizens of the US.

Unfortunately, the Dems are at a point of ne return. They have no ideas on how to make this country better so they continue to wage this segregation strategy that the people are tired of. Believe it or not, but the populous is beyond hearing about race, religion, and sexual orientation. Most of us want what is best for our family and community. But that takes ideas, not the easy way out by continuing to oppose everything that is offered.

It takes work but the payoff is great for ALL Americans.

I could go on but i know this is futile as some on here are going to slam away No matter what is said. It’s the Left’s only answer. So, have at it.

There is to much red tape in gov, but it is there for a reason. It's like there is no middle anymore. It's all or nothing both ways.

So these employees were working with outdated address information?

Do you continue to work with outdated contact information on file? I know if I did, there would be no way to get any benefit information.

You can read the explanation given in the article just as well as I can. It's in the article. I didn't make it up.

You just responded to a post about having less political tribalism, and more bi-partisanship .... with a post defending Donald Trump's divisiveness as not being at all his fault. That is ridiculous. Trump is as responsible as anyone for the division in this country. He is antagonistic, constantly combative and more than willing to play politics with natural disasters, and in one case, which I have alluded to .... he even baselessly blamed DEI initiatives for a mid-air plane crash over the Potomac River.

Nothing is ever Trump's fault, is it? He is defended for anything and everything here.

The outrage on here over this flash flood disaster being politicized is justified.

It is tasteless and insensitive to play politics in the aftermath of disasters. It's also fair to point out how this particular outrage is highly selective. When Donald Trump does something similar, it will either be ignored or defended by most of you with something like, "Trump shouldn't have said that, but the libs do the same thing to him .... so screw 'em."

This is so sad but goes to the point I make in the post above. We as a nation, need to get away from this..

That is disgusting. Her logic is covered in so much bitterness and resentment to the point, where it's fair to say that she is likely a racist herself.
