U.S. hiring unexpectedly picked up in June as employers added 147,000 jobs despite President Donald Trump's wide-ranging import tariffs, federal layoffs and immigration constraints.

The unemployment rate fell from 4.2% to 4.1%, the Labor Department said Friday.

Ahead of the report, economists surveyed by Bloomberg had estimated 110,000 jobs were added in June.

Here's a conspiracy theory. The Biden admin wanted Trump dead so they denied SS resources to the Trump campaign in such a way that a guy with no training could bring in a gun, ladder, and range finder and climb a roof a few hundred feet away and get off 8 clear shots...

Oh wait, that actually happened...

ADP uses their own numbers from their customers and projects/models from that. Another thing that is kinda like climate change info after they manipulate and model.

Nope. It was a fake assassination attempt orchestrated by the Trump campaign. It's the only reasonable explanation because swamp doesn't trust pictures of Trump's bleeding 3/4 ear remnant.

Condolences to libs on the jobs report that just came out. Unexpectedly high job growth and another drop unemployment. I mean, egg prices are down, gas is down, stock market is near record highs, illegal immigration is reduced to a trickle, Supreme Court shut down silly district judge national injunctions. Iran cowered, and Trump is going to get his BBB. It has got to really hit hard to see so much winning.

Doesn't mean this last number do the same but we've actually been doing some revising up.

The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for April was revised up by 11,000, from
+147,000 to +158,000, and the change for May was revised up by 5,000, from +139,000 to
+144,000. With these revisions, employment in April and May combined is 16,000 higher than
previously reported.
