I was at the game last night and however bad it seems on TV, the lack of energy and urgency is way worse in the stadium.

Yesterday was the deadline for season ticket renewal. My ticket group decided to punt after 24 years. You don’t get to cut payroll and then increase ticket prices 20% and require a 3 year commitment.

About a month ago, somebody asked what Snitker thought was wrong with Harris or what he could do to work on his swing. Snitker just said something to the effect of "Well, try and get him to not press as much. You know get him more comfortable." Not one iota of actual baseball knowledge. Which is standard for him but it's soooo funny to listen to an AJ Hinch press conference and a Brian Snitker press conference.

What’s crazy is how just about every position is blocked by a long term deal and there’s just nothing offensively at AAA or on the bench. So when one of those deals goes south or something screwy like the Profar deal happens, you’re left with complete slop for an alternative. They tried to do a bench and a bullpen on the cheap and got caught.

Johnson, Iglesias, Ozuna should fetch something not terrible. The problem is Ozuna and Sale would get us something significant if healthy, but these morons have Ozuna playing on a torn hip and Sale was throwing 115 pitches in the 9th inning.

Now, Freddie’s numbers have dipped this month due to a soft tissue issue (this should be your angle of attack btw) and Matt is better defensively by a gap that seems to be increasing.

Iglesias and Johnson make the most sense, and the fanbase probably wouldn’t even notice. I can’t for the life of me understand why Drake and Acuña aren’t getting DH ABs once a week. It’s the one place where we have depth.

I could never be a ticket rep. I couldn't keep my mouth shut when you said "Uh you guys cut $30M in payroll and asking for 20% increase in tickets, no thank you." and I'd be like "Can you freaking believe they didn't get a real SS in 3 years?!?!"
