X (Formally Twitter) seems to be down.
What would you suggest to cheer it up? Maybe an XX? 🧬

Of course, Elon's federally subsidized empire took a hit in the recent Senate-passed spending bill. Maybe the Deep State asked for some of its* bandwidth back.

* I still haven't figured a benign business model for a product/service that scales backward--that costs the owner more money the more people use it...

X is in a good mood again.

Believe I'm out on college sports. I will pull for Tennessee to win but this buying your team every year is tiresome. No need to remember their names cause all they are is mercenaries.......A watered down VFL ...

It’s starting to impact baseball too which is surprising since it’s not a high revenue sport like football and basketball.

Not surprising to me. The same exact things that are happening in football and basketball are also happening in baseball, just less money being used. Every player is bought and college sports are now professional sports without enforceable player contracts. Best thing for everyone at this point is to create 3-year contracts for all “student” athletes with a 4th year mutual option. And as Danny White has stated, there needs to be a rock solid CBA. Unfortunately there are too many athletes across the board within NCAA so each individual sport will require its own CBA imo for it to be successful. One uniform CBA across all sports won’t work because each sport brings in wildly differing revenue (or losses), whichever way you want to look at it.

One thing I would like to see changed across all collegiate sports is mimicking the NFL Draft eligibility requirements but with a little change. You either choose to enter your sport’s draft directly out of high school or you have to commit to waiting 3 years before you are eligible for your respective draft. None of this playing 2 years and then you are eligible all because you turn 21 prior to the draft, non of the one-and-done deals. If you are going to play college then you need to actually progress towards earning a degree. It defeats the whole purpose of attending college whenever you know you are going to jump ship after a year or two.
