Happy Choose Day

Thanks to all of you who help me on my journey in your own way. It's easy to ignore those small interactions, but even a laugh can lead us closer to God.

July 1, 2025: Take this time to give thanks to the Lord for His goodness and for those who have been sent to help you along the way. Remember that you are not alone; you are not on this journey by yourself even when it feels like nobody cares. God hears and answers your prayers.Psalm 124 2-5 If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us alive, when their wrath was kindled against us; then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul; then the swollen waters would have gone over our soul.

Big Bend Fossils Belong to 'Gigantic' Possum​

Researchers at the University of Kansas have determined that fossils discovered decades ago in Big Bend National Park belong to a previously unknown species of marsupial-like mammals resembling “gigantic” possums.

Originally collected by the late Judith Schiebout of Louisiana State University, the molars and jaw fragments were recently analyzed by Kristen Miller, a doctoral student at Kansas, who reported her findings in a study published in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology.

The new species, Swaindelphys solastella, was about the size of a hedgehog—much larger than others in its genus. "Since everything is bigger in Texas, this is perhaps not surprising,"said Chris Beard, the study’s co-author.

The reason that this is embarrassing is that the @TN-POSSUM ancestor was traveling with @InVOLuntary , @BaldBiker and myself on a road trip in the prehistoric USA when the little fellow got run over by a mammoth who didn’t stop for a pedestrian. Wasn’t a law back then…also, there were no laws or actual roads so the term roadtrip predated roads. 😂
Anyway, we buried our traveling companion, said prayers and continued our road trip. I had almost forgotten that event.
I guess this should be titled “On this date in VN history “ 🤠

I love reading these everyday. Very helpful as we get lost in our daily lives.
