New York City

Gee, if only someone could invent a technology that could enable virtual meetings!
Plus megabillionaires can fly into NYC in their private jets for the day as needed.
A lot of people prefer face to face. Remember too that we're talking about billionaires. They're aware of Zoom too. Obviously they want to be in NYC for some reason. If they were that put off by high taxes cost of living they'd have already moved out.

So Businesses will either no longer do business in NYC or those increases will be passed on the the new Yorkers...but hey they'll have grocery stores with empty shelves or that are looted every week .
Don’t forget that AOC ran off a planned Amazon distribution facility with all of it‘s millions in taxes and money injected into the local economy. It’s almost like they are TRYING to destroy the city.

Won’t even make it to the Supreme Court. That law will be DOA at the first court that hears it.
Not so fast my friend.

It is legal for businesses outside of a state to collect sales tax for transactions inside a state. Like Amazon. It isn't that big of a stretch of current law for that guy's proposal to be legal.

Here‘s what I don’t understand. For month after month, our resident anti-Semites have harped daily their contention that AIPAC runs the nation behind the scenes. Now, the city with the world’s largest Jewish population nominates an anti-semetic Muslim candidate for mayor.
So which is it, are the Jews all powerful puppet masters or are they just like any other of the tens of thousand lobbyist groups out there?

Transactions yes. Business location, I don’t think that flies. But yeah, courts have done stranger things than that. So I stand corrected

I agree with the sentiment. Should be an easy decision based on our principles. But there have been some head-scratchibg decisions. Remember the fee for obamacare is a "tax".

"ruin" is the operative word. Once the tax base is gone, services, infrastructure, etc all suffer. Tourism would likely keep NYC well funded in spite of losing the very wealthy. But that only happens if tourists feel safe.
New York is asking San Francisco to hold their beer.

Zionists tried their best, made the NYC mayoral race about Israel for some reason, and discovered NYCers don't care about their genocidal BS. That's completely separate from how politicians feel

Which still doesn’t answer my question. Is AIPAC all powerful or are they limited in their influence just like any other lobbying interest?
