Andros is on my list. As is Long Island, Cat Island. The northern Bahamas are pretty touristy but may check those out.

We're on the Atlantic side of Eleuthera. We're east of Govenor's Harbour. Haven't seen a soul on the beach.

I really, really want to purchase a 50' ish motor yacht and spend a few winters exploring all the islands. The extreme southern islands, ragged etc, intrigue me.

There is like 700 islands in Bahamas total but I think only 35-40 actually have people living there. I love Bahamas but DR still my favorite.

Never been but heard good things. I'm contemplating a certain boat but I'm not sure it will be suitable to go that far. I would love a larger power cat but out of my budget.

So you prefer the direct connection from Colombia and Gulf Cartel to Miami? DR is dangerous. Chinese Kalishnekov's on every street corner all I need to know.
