Alumnus opinion only. Gotta have a degree from UT to be a VFL. Thank the rest for their contribution while they were here. Graduate transfers are VFL's, Chase Burns is not. Juniors that get drafted before they get their degree are likely to continue their education in the off season and get the degree. To me, the biggest reason to go the college route with baseball is to get the education.I kinda agree with that statement but it is interesting that many on here have called players who left for other places VFL's. I'm new to this to some extent but I would not consider someone a Vol For Life who transferred to another school to finish. But again I'm new to it.
I agree. I would not call Chase a VFL but there are some others that have been called VFL that I would not also. Can you be a VFLsquare if you get both bachelors and masters while you play? That's 'scriptual' to me, @preacherman20I agree. I would not call Chase a VFL but there are some others that have been called VFL that I would not also. Can you be a VFLsquare if you get both bachelors and masters while you play? Just asking for a friend![]()

I think if they give there all to the team and do all that is ask by the coaches you can be a VFL. If there just not talented enough to stay in the rotation to be a viable piece for success then going to another team and start with a better chance of proving themselves right or wrong still could be a VFL. Burns Nico and Aido would not qualify.I kinda agree with that statement but it is interesting that many on here have called players who left for other places VFL's. No VFL participation trophies. If you transfer out, you give up rights to VFL IMHO.I think if they give there all to the team and do all that is ask by the coaches you can be a VFL. Ford is slotted in the 70-90 according to a few mocks. Slot value is 865k-1.1m for that range. Ryan Prager went 81st last year and came back. We have a whole lot of vacated NIL funds. I’m not saying it’s gonna happen. I’m not even saying it’s likely. But it’s not a forgone conclusion that he’s not making it to campus. If it’s Ford he ain’t making it to campus
I agree. What I have seen in football is fans sincerely wishing well to a player who has given his all but is going to have to step down a level to be a starter and who is also not transferring within the conference. And it generally considered that it was a mutual decision or they were asked to find another place. But I don't recall anyone ever calling such a person a VFL. I agree with Mookie and Taylor: my experience is that players who finish here are VFLs regardless of whether they transferred in. But there is typically special affection for a players who played here their entire college career. And it seems that way to me in baseball also.I kinda agree with that statement but it is interesting that many on here have called players who left for other places VFL's.
