Go look up his receivers that year. Josh was playing with nobodies. If you put Josh in 2018 on the Chiefs he does what Mahomes did and wins MVP.

When are yall gonna realize football is a team sport. You can be the best player ever but if your online, receivers, and running backs stink you won't look good. All Josh needed was a decent crew backing him up and he would be an MVP caliber player. And the second he got that supporting cast he blew up.

Don't forget Tom Brady was a backup to Drew Henson in college as well. College coaches aren't always known for making the best decisions. Also seniority comes into play. Cam Newton was a year behind Tebow who was already playing well. Urban wasn't gonna bench Tebow even if Cam was better.

My argument is if you magically remove Tebow from that team and insert Cam they would have been better because Cam is a much better QB than Tebow. His college and pro career proves it.

Granted, some of that may been where he played HS ball and where he grew up. I, however, tend to believe that scouts find the talent...pros find players more often than not regardless of what college they play for, and likewise, colleges find the HS players.

Mahomes wasn't highly recruited. Neither was Lamar. Both were 3-stars.

Talent evaluation isn't an easy job. Even the best miss on the very best players all the time.

You didn't take a look at Tebow's college stats did you? If you did, you wouldn't have made such a ridiculous statement.

Tebow was a better college QB.

Of course Cam was a much better pro

Stop it lol. Cam Newton had the best season of any college player in our lifetimes. Dude had 60 touchdowns on a team where you probably can't name one other offensive player.

Plenty of arguments you can make for Tebow ahead of Cam Newton including college longevity and leadership. But Tebow did not have a single season even approaching what Cam did in 2010.
