Why not Tulsi Gabbard

Nikki Haley Calls Tulsi Gabbard a 'Russian Sympathizer' in Scorched-Earth Rant Against Trump's Cabinet pick

Nikki Haley blasted President-elect Donald Trump's pick for Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

She accused the former Democratic congresswoman turned Trump supporter of spreading Russian propaganda and called her a 'Russian, Iranian, Syrian, Chinese sympathizer.'

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, especially one that still had political aspirations.🤣

That's not fair. Just call her what she is. An anti 2A, pro new green deal, pro universal helthcare, anti nuclear energy, pro free college moron. Hell she will tell you she's these things . She's sucking at the teet of Trump to stay relevant. And, sadly, many are falling for it.

Have you had Bowman brothers?

Buffalo Trace juice
Same mash bill as Blanton’s
Aged in Virginia
Very similar product for 1/3 the price.
Much more available
I'll try it. I've been getting Blanton's overseas. Both the gold and red cost me about $85. The only good deal left

Trump Splits with one of his Closest Advisers as nasty MAGA civil war erupts over Iran

The escalating conflict between Israel and Iran has dramatically fractured the political forces that united to elect President Donald Trump in 2024.

Rival factions of the MAGA movement are now openly feuding in an increasingly nasty civil war, and questioning whether the president will make what they regard as the right move in the Middle East.

Trump himself stunningly split with one of his own close advisers on Tuesday, dismissing Congressional testimony from Director of National Security Tulsi Gabbard.

In March, Gabbard stated that the intelligence community had assessed Iran was not building a nuclear weapon.

Her comments reemerged in recent days amid warnings that Iran may be on the verge of succeeding in its quest.

'I don't care what she said, I think they were very close to having one,' Trump said flatly when asked about Gabbard's statement.

When Gabbard was asked for a reaction to the president's comments, she maintained: 'What President Trump is saying is the same thing I said in my annual threat assessment in March to Congress.'

Well she's an idiot so good job Trump on apppinting a moron and then realizing you shouldn't trust a moron I guess

Yall get that’s not what tulsi said about the Iran nuke program, right?

Everyone keeps repeating that lie.

She reported that agencies had reported that Iran wasn’t trying to build weapons and then immediately reported that their stockpiles are not consistent with that report.

Can you get me more context on this?

Where is she a moron?

Anti nuclear energy
Wanted to ban AR platform ownership
Pro green new deal
Paid college for all
Etc etc etc
Fair enough but I was asking how this instance made her a moron. Seems to me people are bitching about something she didn’t say

I think people are making a bigger deal out of is than it is.

When she spoke on Iran she had been on the job for barely a month and could only say what she had been told.

What's changed other than maybe knowing the ropes more and being able to ask better questions?

Tulsi Gabbard is rumored to be in Donald Trump's 'line of fire' as she has been sidelined ahead of a much-anticipated intelligence briefing to Congress to detail Trump's recent strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Gabbard, Trump's Director of National Intelligence, was forced to make a dramatic U-turn last week after the president said she was 'wrong' when she testified Tehran was not close to getting a nuclear weapon.

Now, the spy chief will be absent on Thursday as Trump officials offer Congress evidence of how successful the strikes were. Trump has angrily insisted CNN and The New York Times were wrong in saying they had minimal effect.

Gabbard was originally supposed to join members of Trump's inner circle - CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth - in the briefing.

A person familiar with Gabbard's schedule told the Associated Press said she was originally going to attend but no longer.

However, Trump biographer Michael Wolff said that Trump now sees Gabbard as a 'stooge' who will take the blame for the leaks.

'It's always important in the Trump script, the fallback is always who to blame, who to blame. Just have to have someone to blame. Tulsi is in the line of fire,' Wolff told The Daily Beast.

Wolff added: 'There is an investigation that is going on. They will try to find someone to blame. Within the White House, within the West Wing, what they are saying as of this morning, who this is being pinned on, is Tulsi.'

The vicious rumor swirling around Tulsi Gabbard, 44, as Trump Bids Aloha to yoga-obsessed intel chief

Her title, DNI, Director of National Intelligence, stands for 'Do Not Invite.'

That's the joke that aides have been telling as Gabbard was shut out of Donald Trump's raid to capture Nicolas Maduro at the weekend.

The President's orders were that Operation Absolute Resolve was strictly need-to-know, and Gabbard did not need to know.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio pushed for the ex-Democratic congresswoman to be excluded, two sources told the Wall Street Journal.

And while it's aloha Gabbard, it's hello CIA Director John Ratcliffe.

He was front and center last Saturday as the White House beamed pictures out from the Mar-a-Lago situation room.

The President increasingly relies on the CIA boss for crucial intelligence updates, preferring him over Gabbard.

Gabbard's Instagram posts tell a different story as she does yoga and preaches peace from the beach in Hawaii. 'My heart is filled with gratitude, aloha, and peace,' she posted on January 1

Her previous comments about Maduro's dictatorship had raised alarm bells.

In 2019, the then-congresswoman for Hawaii staunchly opposed any American intervention in Venezuela, and as recently as last month, she was calling out 'warmongers' intent on pushing the US into conflict.

I'd be here all night if I listed every accomplishment of Pete since his tenure at DOT began, but I'll keep it to some that I can recall off the top of my head. This is a very incomplete list. I'll save BIL for last:

-reorganization and change of focus of DOT policies and priorities after the disastrous tenure of Sec. Elaine Chao Which policies are those exactly and what changes made the department more efficient?
--safety, jobs, equity, climate, and innovation
-reimplementation of a policy from the Obama years giving precedence to hiring local workers for public works projects Again, how does this help if the only local workers are charging double market value? Additionally, this stifles competitiveness in the market
--you don't think there would be local workers charging less than the double market value you posit to acquire work? That isn't how competitive local bidding on projects works...

-enactment of the Airlines Passengers with Disabilities Bill of Rights
Have you read what it does or even know it's been illegal since 1986 to discriminate against passengers with disabilities?
--yes, but how is this a bad thing? From your posted article above: While the bill of rights doesn’t provide new rights for disabled travelers, Morris said it does make the ACAA more accessible to passengers. It condenses lengthy regulations into a more easily digestible format — “one that disabled people can print out and reference during a trip,” he said.

And moving on...

-reduction in canceled flights to pre-Covid levels
This has nothing to do with him and more to do with the market as well as airlines outright cancelling the routes they were on. Furthermore, he is responsible for the 25% increase in airline tickets over the past year. And what do you have to say to that?
--if you aren't going to give the DOT and Pete credit for reduction in canceled flights over the last year, then you don't get to drag him for airline ticket increases over the last year either. So this is a wash on our part, since I can't claim the same without accepting the other, either.

-National Roadway Safety Strategy to reduce deaths and injuries to motorists and pedestrians
Guess you missed this little thing
--hence the launch of the NRSS in January 2022...

-supply chain issues relief, including reduction in long-term storage of goods at ports by 50% (Pete was big on getting "inland ports" up to capacity to alleviate the burden on international seaports) Yeah except we're still in a global supply chain problem where goods aren't even available... hence, they'll have less items in ports. Plus you have idiots in California that demand unions move the items instead of using what's immediately available
--nothing I said was false. And the global supply chain crunch will continue into earlier next year, as Pete has said multiple times, until countries get back to pre-Covid levels and the surge in demand for goods is met. We can't do much about what is going down in China with their insane Covid protocols. Also, you want Pete to step in on what California demands its unions do? That is quite the bold take from a libertarian, state's rights guy...
-drastic drop in price to ship goods to American ports no, he hasn't
--let's go with a more up to date article, shall we? Freight rates on the primary ocean trade channels are sinking during a time typically identified as the peak season in the industry after cargo owners reportedly shipped their holiday goods early and inflation dented consumer demands. The cost incurred to ship a 40-foot container to the West Coast in the US from China is now about $5,400 per box, a drop of 60% from January 2022, per Freightos Baltic Index. Each container shipped to Europe from Asia now costs $9,000, which is about 42% lower than observed early in 2022. At the same time, above pre-pandemic levels, the rate for both routes peaked at over $20,000 in September 2021. Ocean Shipping Rates Plunged 60% In 2022.

-launch of a comprehensive website to compare airlines on hidden fees, etc. Yeah, the government just created Expedia... great job, government. Way to keep up with the times!
--this is a dashboard that shows you what you are owed and how to receive reimbursement for canceled or delayed flights. I don's see how this is a bad thing?
-increase in addressing customer complaints related to airlines And what role exactly does the government... or rather should the government have in this?
--see above
-implementation of RAISE grants lol, they renamed an existing program and focused on "green"
--and the Trump admin renamed TIGER grants from the Obama Admin to BUILD grants, which the Biden Admin and Pete renamed to RAISE grants. What is wrong with focusing on "green" infrastructure while also focusing on traditional infrastructure? From what I can tell, not much has changed over the three Admins.
-helped out in the first round of negotiations between rail unions and corporations, which resulted in no nationwide strikes or disruptions to freight or passenger rail haven't checked the news lately, have we?
--I did say first round, didn't I? Negotiations are ongoing between freight unions and corporations. Would you have rather the talks fallen apart last month and a strike occurred?
-so, so much more I am forgetting

All things he had nothing to do with.

--Well that is just a silly argument. I think the Secretary of the DOT probably has a little bit to do with determining which states and cities receive funding for projects from the BIL, but maybe that is just me.

See you next comment. Go Vols!

We can add the death of Spirit airlines to Mayor Pete’s long list of accomplishments
