President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

That is not the same thing at all .... and I didn't support everything Biden did, much less kiss Biden's butt the way the right-wing echo chamber on here kisses Trump.
I suspect you confuse "pointing out when you guys post nonsensical trash" with "kissing Trump's butt".

For instance, someone says that Trump has inappropriately called up Marines for LE duties, when he hadn't called the Marines up for LE duties. Claiming that he did so in an order that never mentioned Marines. And claiming that, having supposedly done so, he would have had to 'invoke' the Insurrection Act in some way that notified this poster that he had done so, as opposed to just acting on his statutory powers as defined in article 10.

This form of "butt kissing" probably has a long history here where this and similar posters were claiming that he was a Russian Collusion blackmail Manchurian candidate because he has a fetish for Russian Hookers peeing on his chest.

I'd absolutely agree you didnt have the idol worship that the right has here for DJT. No one has ever said that you did. But you are like those orangeman asskissers, you started off with a qualifier and then you never rebuked clearly ineffiective or contradictory policy.

But I did not see you deviate from with the policy of the Biden admin. For example, instead of critcizing the wasteful govt spending or inflation or taxes or immigration or infrastructure spending or the incompetence of Butler PA, it was almost always a "But Trump.." response. Never a rebuke of the policy his admin was administering...

1. Do away with birthright citizenship as it currently exists. Requirement for BRC needs to be minimum of 1 parent being a citizen. Legal resident does not count.
2. Institute an amnesty program for those currently here. Allow them to register as a foreign worker, do BGC (conviction or criminal affiliation equals denial) which would allow permanent but conditional residency. They would have no path to citizenship and be barred from public welfare but children may attend school.
3. Expand guest worker program to encompass more industries like construction and streamline the application process. People on guest worker program have no path to citizenship and 1 criminal conviction or violation of GW terms equals permanent disqualification from the program.
4. Allow people to purchase residency with a path to citizenship, but the path would be longer than it currently is.
5. Allow people with a solid business plan to immigrate to start or move their business here which would allow a path to citizenship. Same as #4
6. Allow children of those mentioned in #2 who were born on US soil a path to citizenship in exchange for service in the military.
7. Allow children of those mentioned in #2 who were born on US soil the same path to citizenship as #s 4 & 5.
I can agree with 2&3

That's a matter of carefully crafted semantics. He said that Marines would be used to "protect law enforcement officers and federal buildings," but those duties are also performed by law enforcement officers.

Trump mentioned federal troops .... which would include the marines, since they were deployed. In order to be in compliance with the Posse Comitatus Act, the President would have to cite the Insurrection Act.

So, once again .... you are wrong.

There are a lot of people here who post they dont agree with Trump's decorum and then defend his policies 100%.

I made the comment a few years ago but there isnt a dog as loyal as poster whose method is "I dont like (insert politician) but (insert policy) and (insert what other party did)"...

Hint: They are not law enforcement duties. Those specific duties were stated BECAUSE they are non-law-enforcement activities allowed under Posse Comitatus without needing the use of the IA. That is specifically WHY trump was able to truthfully state that he wasn't 'invoking' the IA--because he didn't need the IA to do it.

Here. I'll help you get started:

It must be nice to live in a world where you can post untrue accusations, and hand-wave proper correction as mere "semantics".

LOL.

It's still the use of semantics to circumvent the Posse Comitatus Act. It's legal. I never said that it wasn't. However, those duties could have been just as easily fulfilled by either the police or the National Guard. This was a political stunt by Donald Trump.

Constitution disagrees with 1 and so do I.
Who and how do you establish the price on 4 ? Already legal immigration cost a pot full of money, I know first hand.
5 is already covered

The constitution can and should be amended to require a parent be a citizen in order for the child to gain automatic citizenship. What are your disagreements with that?

IDK how we would establish a price, what is expedited legal residency worth? $1 million? $5 mil?

#5 is still a luck of the draw right now. My buddy from Australia has a successful motorcycle building/customization business (been in Ironhorse and other biker mags) which he wants to move to the states. He's been trying for almost 10 years and just this year got his green card and that came from a lottery. I think it should be made easier for people wanting to bring business to the states to do so.

Can you post a link, please? Seeing where that fell in the timeline would be interesting.

The timelines, as far as I can tell, were that he called up the NG under a law that ONLY deals with federalizing the NG, and then a day later sent Marines to join them. As posted earlier, the memo calling the NG up never mentioned Marines.

And as noted above, protecting federal property and personnel is exempt from the PCA, which I suspect is one of the assumptions that started you off in the wrong direction.

But I digress. It's your claim that Trump used a law that ONLY allows the federalization of the NG, used it for some reason to federalize an already federalized Marines, without mentioning the Marines at all or calling the Marines up when he used the law. And then called the Marines up at a later time for activities that would not need special invocations to do anyway.

No, it's my claim that there was never any reason to deploy the Marines for such a purpose. The National Guard would have been sufficient. I have said that many times. The deployment of that Marines was a political stunt. It is also my claim that Trump has circumvented the Posse Comitatus Act with semantics.

On one maybe you're right, if kittens are born in an old oven that doesn't make them biscuits.

Being wealthy should play no part in citizenship.

Maybe I'm wrong on 5, but i think the current rules are 1 million $ business. No

Luther-level retreat-fibs at this stage. Carry on.

That is not true at all.

197 instances of BowlBrother having "Inflation" in a post from 1/20/21 - 1/20/25. Not one solely condemmed Biden's policies. I stopped counting at over 100 for which blamed Trump's policies. (To be fair, I agree Trump caused a chunk of the 21-22 inflation)

You had a blurb about the Inflation Reduction Act that you claimed to dislike but a review of Inflation, Reduction, or Act showed no opposition to this in 2022.

So, whos the liar now...

Those are evil semantics.
