The Atlanta Braves

Disagree. This team isn't going anywhere. Need some young prospects.

I dont expect them to do anything though.
Not this year but they still have plenty of pieces to contend for years to come we just have to be willing to spend on good players to fill our needs. Zero reason to do a rebuild what the Red Sox just did would be like trading Austin Riley away

He’s a top 10 bat in the game. Our 3B sucks and our DH, who won’t be here next year has a cracked hip. Take your pick. But of course Chickenopolis can’t pull the trigger

DH only on a $300M contract is a very tough pill to swallow but he would have been a perfect fit. Devers/backup C for Murphy and 3 of our pitching prospects and I’d definitely have a meeting

I can’t prove this but this might be the first $300M contract that’s been traded. Hell Cano is the only $200M contract that comes to mine

It’s a much better bat than our current long term 3B who is looking like a DH only himself

Arenado, Price and Verlander are the only other ones. Arenado had an opt out pending, Price and Verlander both had just two years remaining. Devers is signed through 2033.

Which will be his age 36 season. Probably going to see a rough last couple of years with that contract (he's not a great defensive player).

If he can play 1B it’s more manageable. He can pick it a little he just has zero range and a suspect arm. But before this year the profile suggested that would end up bad. His walk rate has skyrocketed this year, idk if that’s a short term thing or something new. If it’s sustainable he goes up a notch.

He refused to play 1B, which played into trading him

*He hasn't played in the field at all this year, strictly DH after losing 3B to Bergman
