If I do nothing, we remain stuck 14hrs from home with a chance but no guarantees I get offered a job 3.5hrs away. If I take it we are 10hrs for 1yr that will open many more doors and opportunities.

The "incredible opportunity" isn't a money play but an experience and potential career trajectory.

Hey guys, asking for prayers and good vibes on a big decision my wife and I have to make for our family. As I've mentioned before, I got DOGE'ed in January, which took away our opportunity to move closer to home. I've been offered an incredible job opportunity to start in September, but it would keep us away from family and my wife is due with our second child in October.

So, we have a lot weighing on our hearts and minds right now.

Decisions have consequences, and the what could have been loom large for me. I've been there.

It’s only for a year, but may open many more doors??? And you are already 14 hours from family? TAKE IT!!! You pretty much need to fly anyways to go back home. Take care of your family now and in the future.
