Turkeys must have good hearing. I was at my kitchen window looking down on a couple of toms who've become regulars lately, feeding with the other birds about 20 yards away.

I burped--just a quiet, tiny little coffee burp--and two heads immediately shot up, scanning for threats!

Or, maybe turkeys are just very mannerly and easily offended.

Come to think of it... for the past 200+ years, most of their time spent in the company of humans has been at formal social occasions.

The Wrecking Crew! Documentary (including Glen Campbell significantly) on Prime now is just great. The Crew session players played on most of the hit recordings during the 1950's and 60's heard on radio/net today. The Brian Wilson part within is really good as well.
