Iran

There’s a large portion that would love a regime change myself included, but if residential condos in Tehran are being struck by another country the mood changes toward self defense against a common enemy.
If I saw the precision strike on the residential condos that Israel carried out to knock out one of their terrorist leaders, it would give me pause.

I agree that's what the negotiations were about. The question I was trying to raise is Israel's justification for these attacks.
Here is the justification --- If Israel wants to continue as a country, they can't allow Iran to create a nuclear weapon. Pretty much that simple.

Hopefully the regime change will come from within. You would know better than me but I don't believe the Iranian govt is very popular with the citizenry.

Imagine what a normal Iran could do for the world. The nation has a reputation for producing great mathematicians.

But, Gabbard added, “In the past year, we have seen an erosion of a decades-long taboo in Iran on discussing nuclear weapons in public, likely emboldening nuclear weapons advocates within Iran’s decision-making apparatus. Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile is at its highest levels and is unprecedented for a state without nuclear weapons.”
Right. The question remains.

We know they don't want any competition in the region. Their own nuclear arsenal should be sufficient to dissuade any eventual Iranian nuclear attack on them, if Iran were to ever get the capability to produce such weapons.

Based on some of the photos of damage to those buildings it looks like Israel used smaller precision missiles in an attempt to avoid as much collateral damage as possible. To the extent they can in an aggressive act of war.

This leads me to believe they are trying to avoid making enemies of the population there.

I hope the weakened supreme leaders position can be used to swing the power back to it's citizens.

You think Iran's leaders are worried about getting bombed if they launched a nuke at Isreal? 😂🤣

They aren't Russia or China they don't care.

It’s ambitious to assume the average Tehrani seeing smoke light up the sky is thinking with that level of nuance.

So, have they, as a threat to attack us and not in the form of retaliation?
You can't be that nieve?

Every American that was killed or taken hostage in Isreal on October 7th was a result of Iran. Three American soldiers killed in Iraq around a year ago was a result of Iran. Every American military & civilian ship attacked by the Houthis is a result of Iran.

When did they say they intend to destroy America?
Normal chants of “death to America” and “down with America”. A country with nukes those intentions are very capable.
But back to the question. What would you do?
It’s easy to sit back a criticize. What say you?
